5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Kindergarten daughter
My daughter is learning to read and with the step into reading books, it makes it even more fun. I also got her the Barbie that goes with this book. They will make for a perfect Christmas present :)

Barbie takes her Chihuahua to the vet, a woman wearing completely impractical, non-OSHA-compliant, open-toed high-heeled shoes. The vet is busy and in blissful disregard of legal liability and worker's comp issues asks Barbie to help out. So Barbie throws on a white lab coat, the only prerequisite for a doctorate degree. 5.0 out of 5 stars My 20 month old loves, loves, loves this book!!!!!!, July 3, 2011
My baby (who loves animals) loves this book so much. She wants me to read it to her over and over again. Soon she'll be able to read it all by herself!

(REAL NAME)
Barbie takes her Chihuahua to the vet, a woman wearing completely impractical, non-OSHA-compliant, open-toed high-heeled shoes. The vet is busy and in blissful disregard of legal liability and worker's comp issues asks Barbie to help out. So Barbie throws on a white lab coat, the only prerequisite for a doctorate degree. Together the vet and Barbie examine some healthy pets (no bleeding lacerations or puking dogs or oozing abscesses at this clinic!). Barbie manages to get a chocolate Labrador onto the scale without getting dirty or slobbery--and without revealing her panties under her ultrashort pink miniskirt. They treat a sick cat who miraculously improves with an eye-dropper-full of medicine, and then head out to the farm to examine a horse, which conveniently lives in the only barn in the world without mud or manure. They bandage the horse's leg and everyone lives happily ever after.

5.0 out of 5 stars FOUR WORDS, July 23, 2011
Ok, let's start off with four words: I LOVE THIS BOOK! I am an adult (going on 45 in September!) and I ordered FIVE copies for myself. This book is a timeless classic that cannot be wasted! It is an AMAZING book that helps people learn how to read! This book is a wonderful page-turner and even though we have read it about one hundred times, my cats and I are always surprised at the ending! I bought so many copies because once we read the book about twenty times, it starts to fall apart at the seams a little bit. I have always been rough with my books, so this is not a big deal at all. We can't wait for the next installment of the Barbie movies! Every time I pull out the books, my cats purr in excitement and cuddle around me to listen to the stories! Thank you to the authors of Barbie books!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE ITTT!, July 23, 2011
I read this book every night before going to bed to myself. It may seem weird, but something about "Barbie: I Can Be a Pet Vet" is very comforting to a thirty - four year old woman. I feel so great to know that I am not the only dreamer out there; that there are other little girls reading this storybook as well, hoping to be a Pet Vet, just like my role model: BARBIE. Sometimes I like to imagine myself as skipper, Barbie's "side kick" like Diego in "Dora the Explorer." THis book is a MUST BUY! I LOVE IT!
