Pink and loud March 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
Purchased this for my daughter who just had to have a Barbie clock. It functions in the clock department ok and has a built in radio.

Annoying factors for Parents:
1. There doesn't appear to be any volume control for the storybook component. When this is activated it is LOUD.
2. The radio antenna seems to be predispositioned to talk radio. That's about the only stations it picks up in my kid's room and none of them are appropriate for her. Buy this for the clock and not the radio function.
3. The nightlight gets warmer than I think it should. It's not like it is catching fire HOT, but it seems warmer than it should considering the age of those that are touching it.
4. The ceiling light is pretty cool, but it should have had the clock built into that so you could see the time on the ceiling as well. That would have been cool.

Things my daughter likes:
1. It is pink and purple
2. You can't get anymore Barbie than this clock.

You get what you pay for. It is a Barbie clock radio.

Too Loud December 26, 2009
The clock is very cute and my daughter loves it. I thought it would be nice because my daughter loves hearing stories before going sleep at night. The problem with the clock is that the story telling volume is VERY loud. I have tried everything to lower the story telling volume and it is always the same.(Not sure if my clock is broken or if they are all the same I will try to exchange or return the clock today) The Barbie story telling clock can be heard from all four bedrooms in my house. I can also hear the story telling clock from my kitchen when my daughter is upstairs in her bedroom.
