Our testers were initially enthusiastic about Barbie's first CD-ROM foray into sports, but in the end were left wanting more. More sports, that is. The program offers only two: in-line skating and snowboarding. Play begins as girls help Barbie buy an outfit for the chosen sport and then it's off to the slopes or the skating tracks. Each sport has five arcade-like competition levels featuring lots of different obstacle courses, races and tricks. Points are earned along the way and can be redeemed for better equipment and trick abilities. The kids liked steering Barbie and her friends through the courses, but thought the program lacked depth. Everyone wanted more sports choices. Note: Controlling the skaters is tricky, perhaps too difficult for some younger girls. The program is also available for PlayStation.

After we got this program properly loaded we really had a blast with it! The in-line skate side of the program goes a little slow and tedious for an unskilled user. The snowboard side, on the other hand, is useable from the beginning by small hands and large. The gear shops where you outfit the girls has a fun selection of clothes and equipment that match and vary in price. The gamer must skate or snowboard through the different levels to collect enough tickets to upgrade outfits and gear. Games are automatically saved by the sign-in name so you don't have to worry much about losing your hard-earned tickets. My nieces all thoroughly enjoyed this game - so did I! It's one program I'm glad we got. Always check the system requirements before you buy.

I bought this game for my 9 year daughter and she loves it! The snowboarding features excellent runs and lots of point winning chances! You use your points to buy new boards and clothing so you can do different tricks and look fashionable doing it.

We didn't think very much of the inline skating there wasn't really much to do. Although the shop was still fun.

This is a great game for all ages!

I used to enjoy this software, as I had 3 years ago, but now when I upgraded my computer to XP it doesn't work properly even with the copatibility options.I do miss this game and like to play it again.Help me please
