There was no information included that pertained to batteries, charging or troubleshooting when the LED readouts fade. The manufacturer was not available for customer service on three attempts, during business hours I received recorded messages to call back during business hours.
We were teaching phone use and manners to our daughter. We used the phone for 3hours, when the readout faded, so she could not see if she had dialed correctly.

I bought this phone for my daughter and niece who are 8 and 9 years old for christmas last year and needless to say it was a hit! They love it!! It is just like a normal adult phone, but with the cool pink and purple colors. There is no static and you can hear very clearly. It even comes with a microphone that you put on you ear to speak handless if needed. Great gift!!!!

My daughter recieved the Barbie Talk N Style Fashion Telephone as a Christmas gift. However, the thing never worked. The phone would ring and recieve incoming calls partially. That is, the other party could not hear us on the phone trying to answer, with each "Hello" we uttered louder than the last. All the while we could hear the caller talking (always leaving a message because they couldn't hear us). Based on this experience, we will never purchase a product made by KIDdesigns, Inc.

I was nervous about ordering this after reading the bad reviews, but taking into consideration that you can never please everybody, and that my daugther (9) has had the matching clock radio for several years with no problems, I got it anyway. She's been using it for six weeks now with absolutely no problems. The design is cute and easy for her to handle... the long cord allows her to move pretty much all over her room. As for the sound and clarity, it's great... in fact better than some of the other phones in our house that we've paid MUCH more for!

I bought this for my daughter to begin learning phone skills on her own phone. It was a big loss. Nothing worked as it was supposed to. It is a shame that this company could not come up with a better electronic system. Do not waste your money. We were lucky enough to be able to get a refund. Otherwise I would be really upset.

I bought this phone for my daughter (who is 8) for Christmas. I did want a cordless phone with caller ID, but this phone does not have either of the features I was looking for. However, this phone has been great for my daughter. She loves it. It is easy for her to use and VERY durable. She leaves it on the edge of her dresser and we constantly knock it over onto the floor. The phone has held up very well so far. I talk on it occasionally when I am in her room and can't get to my cordless phones. I always have a clear line with no static and I can hear very well on it too. This phone is a keeper for my daughter.

I, too, was hesitant to purchase this item, given the several poor reviews. However, I did and do not regret it. Sound quality is very good, it works as it is supposed to and my daughter loves it. It is true, however, that it is not a cordless phone.
