I bought this doll for my 3 and a half year old daughter who had been begging me for a month to have the Three Musketeers Barbie. I brought her to the store and she chose Viveca, the doll with the purple dress. We brought the doll home and opened it. My daughter was so excited. Five days later, my daughter has brought Viveca everywhere, including strapped to the front of her tricycle and to bed. She loves this doll. However, I have been a little disappointed with the doll. First of all, in the picture, it looks like she is wearing a beautiful dress, but this "dress" is actually a skirt that is open in the back and fastens with only one tiny piece of velcro (3 mm x 5 mm) at her waist. This velcro practically ripped off the first hour that we owned the doll and I had to re-sew the velcro to the dress with a needle and thread. This works, but now the velcro isn't as sticky so the skirt falls off periodically. Also, Viveca has purple legs which is strange, but my daughter says she is wearing tights and doesn't seem to care. You should also be aware that the "crown" is bolted to the top of the dolls head so that it slides up and down, making a mask. In other words, it is not removable, although I'm just waiting for it to come out of her head as it seems like it will before years end. Lastly, each Musketeer doll comes with a cute little sword. My daughter was very excited about this as it fits in the doll's hand and the doll can hold it by herself. However, I'm disappointed to report that within 4 hours of play after receiving the doll, the sword snapped in half. I didn't see it happen but I can report that the sword is very thin. Mattel should have made it of thicker plastic so that it was more durable! Even though the sword is now a dagger and the skirt/cape falls off periodically, my daughter still is enamored with the doll and she hasn't even seen the movie yet!

Be careful - there are two very different versions of this doll. The pictures are misleading as the four pictures of the product show both versions of the doll. You can see the dress is very different in the first and 3rd picture.

This version of the doll is cheap looking, does not come with the sword and does not come with the dress that comes off and transforms into her cape. The third and fourth picture show the nicer version of the doll - with the sword (in the 3rd picture) and with the dress converted to the cape (4th picture). This is NOT the doll you are buying.

I purchased this doll and had to return it and reorder it from another seller. My return was processed quickly by Amazon but it was still a pain and a disappointment.

This toy is a nice Barbie doll but do not convert into the "Musketeer". My girl was disappointed as it is only the "Ball Dance" dress...still play with her.

There isn't really anything special about this Barbie. Her outfit is bit on the cheap side but my daughter seems to enjoy playing with her. I wouldn't spend more than $10 on her, she isn't worth much more in my opinion.

This doll is one of the characters from the Barbie and The Three Musketeers movie, which my 5 year old granddaughter loves. So for Christmas, Santa and Amazon got her this doll as well as the others doll characters from that movie. That was over 2 months ago and she still plays with these dolls and they have held up well. No educational value, but sometimes kids (like adults) just want to have fun.

I thought this doll would have the sword and tights to make it a Musketeer, but it only comes with the ballroom gown and a brush....disappointing!

This doll that is advertised does not come with the sword or dress that turns into a cap. It looks exactly like the picture, pretty plain. The mask does move up and down, and she comes with purple heels but that's it. I originally bought this doll for my 6yr niece, but when I realized it didn't come with the sword or the dress that turns into the cap, I ended up giving it to her 3yr sister (she doesn't pay attention to details yet). I purchased the other doll that was advertised with the sword and cap for the same price, at the time. My 3yr niece loves carrying this doll around and doesn't seem to mind the doll doesn't have a sword, especially when she saw how quickly the sword to her sister's doll broke right away.
