Thumbelina Doll Set
I got this gift for my niece for her 5th birthday. She absolutely loves it and started playing with it right away and before she was done opening the rest of her gifts. The parts are very little (easy to lose) so make sure not to allow younger children to play with this toy.

I Like the So-So Sprite in You...
Love the fact that Makena has shortish, brown hair, as opposed to the regulation long, blonde hair in Barbie's realm. However, Makena's helmet was sometimes hard to get on her dome, and Makena herself fit in an awkward sideways position on her scooter with difficulty of placement. Scooter sometimes fell apart if you breathed on it; other times, it was fine. Included bag...

Scooter sometimes fell apart if you breathed on it; other times, it was fine. Included bag is just O.K.; nuthin' to write home about. I later figured out that my daughter wanted this set primarily for the included Thumbelina fairy/sprite. I would see her playing with the other pieces once in a while, but I think she would have played with it more as a whole if the set had more accessories/pieces or even a little hangout that engaged and inspired a kid to greater heights of imagination. Just ho-hum.
