My daughter and her friends just love this doll!
Her hair "grows" and her brush plays a pretty melody
when used. Sure to please any little princess!

My Daughter got this doll and all that goes with it for her birthday. She loves it and loves the movie. It is a really beautiful doll!! Make sure you get the movie to go along with the dolls. The movie isn't painful at all for parents.

Let's face it...Barbie is the anti-toy for some. But my kids love Barbie and I am not going to go nuts over the fact that she's supposedly creates some stereotype of the perfect woman. I had Barbies as a kid and I turned out fine. That being said, my kids think this doll is the coolest thing in the entire world. You can probably find it cheaper at Target or some other store, but with the free shipping and the weather getting lousy, I said what the heck. Her hair is REALLY long, but what can you expect from Rapunzel? My kids love to play with it and it has sparked a real interest in them to hear the story read (and not just watch the Barbie tape). If you hate Barbie, you'll really hate this one.

We love Barbie at our house, but this one was a little disappointing. My 3-1/2 year old loves it, but within 5 minutes of opening the crown broke (it's very thin.) All of the curl brushed out of her hair and it's pretty ratty. It still goes in and out, though. I talked to Mattel and they said to try and wash the hair with baby shampoo to make it softer. That will be a challenge with the hole in her head, but I'm going to try it. As I said, Barbie is very popular at our house but I wish I'd bought a different one.

How many looks can one girl have? There just is no limit when it comes to Barbie!

This time Barbie stars in the story of Rapunzel, the young maiden who had beautiful, long flowing hair. Your child will LOVE to act out the story with this absolutely gorgeous doll! Be prepared to buy the other Rapunzel items to go along with this doll!

Her gown is stunning... The prettiest dress I have ever seen for Barbie. She also comes with a brush that plays music when you brush her hair. Other accessories include: A masquerade mask, a crown, and hair extension clips. You can make her hair longer or shorter.

If you are purchasing this, you should also look at purchasing the video!

My 3 1/2 yr old got this doll & of course the 1st thing she did was mess up the hair but I was surprised @ how easy the hair was to comb. I'm sure mother's of Barbie lover's have been horrified to try to "fix" Barbie until she was bald but this doll not only let you brush the doll's hair but she still worked ie,the hair retracted too which I did not expect. The crown fell off but she didn't care & I guess you could easily fix so I was happily surprised as I have been sort of dissappointed w Barbie lately. Only now my daughter wants the new cd-rom when we have the old one!

My daughter loves playing with this Barbie, she loves the long hair and also has Prince Stefan Ken doll. The only thing that drives me crazy is the sparkles all over the doll's dress, pretty as it is, they get everywhere!! I find sparkles for days after she plays with it!
All and all though, durable and fun.

this doll is pretty, with her long hair, and pink dress. But there's glitter on her dress, and it gets everywhere. Her crown is made to be stuck on her hair, and I thought that was inconvenient. There's a hole on top of her head that has her hair in it. There's a string on the back of the doll. If you pull it, then her hair gets short, and when you pull it, it gets longer. The hole is annoying. Whenever I play with it, I think that I could've chosen a better doll. I'm not saying that I don't like this doll. I'm saying that I could've chosen better.

For weeks before Santa came, this was all I heard about from my 4 year old. "Please tell Santa I want a Rapunzel Barbie!" Santa is now her favorite person in the whole world. This is the first toy she plays with when she gets up, she spends alot of time in the afternoon with it, the Ken as Stefan doll she got, and Penelope the Dragon. It is the last toy she plays with before she goes to bed and she loves to read her Barbie as Rapunzel book before she goes to sleep. I delight in playing with her and her dolls and listening to her imagination fly out as she creates her new exciting stories. For her joy over this toy and the way it inspires her imagination and encourages her to learn to read, I can put up with sparkles on the floor, the crown that is now sitting on my dresser and the fact her hair doesn't stay neat and curly. (Neither did my Barbies when I was a child.) We play dress up with her and braid her hair and put pretty bows and hair clips in it and then she wants me to do the same for her hair.
As for stereotyping? I am a female, 10 year veteran, and my sister has over 27 years in the Air National Guard and never once did we play with GI Joes as children. We were strictly a Barbie family.

If your child wants this doll, and you can find it and afford it, I say buy it!

My daughter received Rapunzel 10 months ago when she turned 4. She loves her and the movie. Yes, the hair is a tangled mess, and the gorgeous glitter gown sheds, but she still thinks Rapunzel is tops in the princess department. The only problem is one of the legs comes off, repeatedly. Recently, to my daughter's great trauma, the little peg that holds the leg on, broke. So far no luck with super glue. Now I'm searching to find another but am not holding out much hope now that Swan Lake Barbie has surfaced.
