Great Reproduction of the Movie,

This is a very nice Star Trek doll. The shirt is nicely deatiled with pipping around the edges and the 'star fleet' pattern texture (though this is painted on and not a part of the weave). The Star Trek communicator logo is 3D and not a patch or painted on item. The military braiding at the cuffs is also nicely detailed (looks like braiding) and sewn in separately for a more realistic feel. Also notable is that Kirk's pants are sewn in with extre details that specifically match the costume in the movie - they aren't just brown pants. The communicator and phaser are also well done. The molded vinyl boots also carry quite a bit of detail.
Kirk's likeness to the movie character is fine, he is very posable, and he has rooted hair that is surprisingly not stiff but still holds the style. In all, I'd rate this an excellent doll/character in every way. Suitable for both boys and girls, it definitely doesn't feel like a Barbie doll.

I ordered this doll for my Mother (she's a Trekie fan), and while it wasn't the doll she was initially looking for she loves it all the same. It sits in her room proudly on display. The doll came in fantastic condition, and it got here relatively quickly.
