This book is truely flooded with Images. If you want a book to read keep looking, this book is a wonderful history of Barbourville done with wonderful old pictures of a small town. I bought this book because my Grandparents moved "to town" from Hale's Creek. They ran a small old fashioned store on Carton Avenue, for most of my childhood. Grandma Mary Hale Hinkle died 5/22/05 at 98 and this book will forever help me to remember Barbourville. Hobbs 5 and dime and the A&P and the IGA. I can't wait to show it to my Dad age 75. Buy it, you'll be glad you did.

Excellent book with great pictures for both Barbourville and Kno county. It had pictures for every school Knox county ever had and great pictures of downtown Barboruville.
