I bought this knife block for fun but it was not the quality that I expected. Just not as functional as I hoped so its already back in the box after only 2 weeks.

Pros:
1. Sharp
2. Stainless Steel looks sharp!
3. Hollow handle, but not flimsy
4. They make that 'shing' type of sound you hear in horror films when you pull them out of the block. We love pulling them out and hearing it.
5. Good and bad: When you pull out any of the knives, the block starts spinning a little because it is perfectly balanced when all of the knives are in it. Nice side effect!

Negatives:
1. None right now. Had it for a couple of weeks, but will update this if there's a problem.

we received this as a wedding gift-- very cool concept but quality is mediocre. first the "man" on our set had red touch up paint on its body that didn't match its original red color. second, after one wash in dishwasher, there is rust on the knife.
Not worth it for just the novelty of this item.

I recently purchased the throwzini for a gag gift for my brother. It arrived quickly and when I first opened the box I was very pleased. I plan on getting one for myself. The knives are good not great but I got what I wanted for a great price. Yes, I will be using them and each time I do use them I can guarantee there will be a smile on my face. Great and fun thing to have. Something you won't find on everyone's kitchen counter!

For me I like itmes with a personality of it's own. When you look at something it has more than what you see; Knife Set with on a Butcher Block, o.k. fine. But his knife set with the mounted figure in the middle of the block with the knife placement, and it spins; it's wonderful and marvelous will give lots to talk about in my kitchen. Along being an colorful addition to my kitchen will accentuate my new portable Butcher Block Counter with red stand. Look out Martha Stewart!

Knives rust, & we don't even use them very often!!! Not worth any more than $25. It's a cool idea but for the price we expected quality and a good knife set. This looks like something you'd find in the mall in one of those gag stores. Wish we would have kept the box and packaging to ship it back.

All I can say is save your money.. One statement in the description says it all..

"Great gag gift"! That's about as good as it gets..

"Each knife is held securely by magnets in individual protective sheathes" Total false statement.. No magnetics at all in the holder to hold knives in place.. .. The description says the knives are made of stainless steel.. They are the lightest stainless steel I've ever held in my hands.. I honestly thought these things were made of aluminum when I first looked close at them.. Maybe there is a magnet in the holder.. Maybe the knives are not magnetic??

I LOVE my Throwzini! Not only are the knives themselves a joy to use, but the design is so refreshingly funny and entertaining. It really spins so you can actually play with it, making it a functional kitchen tool AND a really cool toy! I smile or chuckle each and every time I look at it, so I figure it's undoubtedly good for my emotional health as well!! So there ya go-my five star (I'd give more if I could...) recommendation for the Throwzini Knife Block Set-one of the best purchases I have ever made. I swear, I'm smilin' just thinkin' about it!

I bought this as a gift for a friends birthday and it was the hit of the party. Everyone wanted to play with and wanted to know where to get one. Everytime I talk with my friend who recieved the Throwzini it is the first thing he brings up. He loves to tell me the reactions he has received from having the knives on display at his house.
This gift will stand out!

I love this item! The Throwzini is the coolest item for the kitchen!

The Throwzini is a beautiful piece of art and well made. The knife bock spins! What fun! The set is made of wood with stainless steel rods. The stainless knives totally exceeded my expectation!

I highly recommend the Throwzini knife set. The set adds to the kitchen and becomes a fun conversation piece. Everyone that walks into my kitchen comments on the Throwzini.
