It is an awesome instrument for the begineer. Came with some accessories as well. I looked around for a while, since I wanted something within my budget. I was a little skeptical when I bought this, but was plesantly surprised on receiving it. It's very nice. And for the price I paid I think its great. If you are starting out in a band, this one will meet your needs.

This is a great little clarinet for a student just starting to play. The quality is great and it came with a hard shell plastic case which was very nice. For someone on a budget, this was a very good buy and performs as expected.

I am very happy that I decided to buy rather than rent. It came out to the same price (for 1 year). I had the music teacher look it over as soon as we got it, and he said it was great. This is for a 4th grade beginning student. I made sure that we could get service for it in our nearby area. So far (3 months), a great product!

This is a great clarinet for the price. This is what my son is using and he found it easier to use than the more expensive clarinet we borrowed from a music store. It sounds great and easy to blow. He is in grade school, it also helps that it is not as heavy as the rented one. If we keep the rented one we will pay double and we have to return it. Just a nice fact I realized. We have been through the same process before renting a violin which cost double as opposed to buying it new. For wind instruments, it is also more hygienic.

It comes with a pair of white gloves, an extra bamboo reed, maintenance and cleaning kit. This saves me at least twenty bucks because renters usually try to convince you to get their maintenance/cleaning kit for an extra.

The case is made of sturdy nylon material with black scratch protection felt material and foam on the inside. I prefer this than the hard shell as the hard shell that comes with the instrument at this price point is usually cheap and breaks when banged into corners. Each piece was carefully wrapped and has its own mold in the case. Made in China.

I am very pleased with the purchase of this clarinet. This was my first time ever placing an order for a musical instrument online and I was quite hesitant to do so. We purchased this clarinet for our eleven year old daughter for her beginning band class in middle school. This is a very nice instrument and exceptional quality for the price. I have heard and seen my daughter practicing and this clarinet produces a great quality sound. The clarinet comes in a nice small case, not big and bulky and easy for any student to carry around with all their other school items. The accessories that come with the instrument are a great plus as well. I would recommend this instrument to anyone seeking to make a first time or even a replacement purchase for a clarinet.

Clearly this is not a professional-quality instrument, but wow for around $100 you'd be amazed at how nicely made this is. The sound is rich in timbre, much more so that you'd expect. My now 10-yr-old daughter has had for exactly a year (got for Christmas '07) and loves it!

I bought the clarinet due to its low price, it was my dream to have one since forever. I was expecting something of less quality due to the price but oh was i surprised. It went beyond my expectations, starting with the amazingly high quality carrying case, along with the fine quality of the clarinet itself; the little cork pieces on the keys of the instrument where an addon i really loved.

Professional players shouldnt buy this, we that want to learn should, totally and absolutely obtain one.

Congrats to you buyers, and if you are thinking about buying one think no more, hear my suggestion and get it.

This product is excellent quality for the price. My daughter's band director was very pleased with the quality of the overall product. It comes with one 2.0 reed, cork wax (very little), moisture cloth and a case (soft outside/hard inside) that can be converted to a backpack or side tote. The only thing is that the product does not have a serial number to verify it from any of the other clarinets when they are in the band room. I had to engrave a number familiar to my daughter and me. I also had to tag the case just in case it was lost or stolen. I would recommend this product for the parents who are worried about spending a lot of money, and for their children who are not sure of their interest in the band.

It arrived just in time as my son needed it for school. It is much cheaper than usually sold in professional music store. I don't have little experience on this instrument, but at this affordable price tag, I'd like to have it a try. So far so good.

Received this a few days ago. So far, so good. The construction seems solid and the case, while different from the one pictured (this case is not hard-shelled), is sturdy and provides adequate protection. Bought this for my daughter, who is beginning band this year, and we wanted to go with something that wouldn't break the bank, just in case she decides clarinet isn't for her. If she does stick with it, I'm sure we'll go with something a little more expensive, but for now, this will work quite nicely. I recommend it for any beginner who doesn't want to spend too much to begin with. I will say, however, be prepared to buy extra reeds and cork grease. There is only one reed provided and the grease is merely a very small container (not the tube pictured). Both are relatively cheap and a necessary purchase down the road, anyhow.
