4.0 out of 5 stars Great value
I bought one of these guitars a few months ago basically because I just wanted a dink around guitar so that if it got damaged or stolen, I wouldn't be all broken up over it. Well, as it turned out, this is a pretty nice guitar, certainly worth more than I paid for it. I have found nothing wrong with it at all, and more importantly, it has very good action, and was well...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK guitar
I bought this guitar 4 years ago and it still holds up and plays fine, knowing it was a strat i still didn't think it would have a very wide neck, and some of the strings buzz but if your looking for a better, quality-made guitar for beginners I would just go to
Guitar Center and buy a epiphone Les Paul Jr. for $110.00 or a epiphone les paul Jr. special II for...

I bought one of these guitars a few months ago basically because I just wanted a dink around guitar so that if it got damaged or stolen, I wouldn't be all broken up over it. Well, as it turned out, this is a pretty nice guitar, certainly worth more than I paid for it. I have found nothing wrong with it at all, and more importantly, it has very good action, and was well set up right out of the box. That was probably luck, however. Everything fits, everything works, and the guitar is fun and easy to play. Negatives? Well, the pickups are probably the weakest part of the guitar...definitely not Strat pickups, but they work and give adequate tonal variation. The 5-position selector switch is smooth and does its job. The guitar does come with some accessories which are real cheesey. Trash the plastic gigbag and the guitar strap right away. If I was going to buy a cheap Strat knock-off, this would be the one to get. I got another brand for my nephew last summer, and it did have some quality issues. In short, I'm well satisfied. Just keep your expectations within reason and you may be pleasantly surprised.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Strat, October 22, 2005
This review is from: Barcelona 39" Coffee Electric Guitar with Carrying Bag and Accessories
I have 8 electric guitars from $65 to 4,199.00 and had been playing different kinds of guitar for more than 40 years. This is not a standard size Strat. It comes with the world's worst pickups, guitar neck. It sounds awful like a toy-guitar. It is the worst guitar I've ever seen. It doesn't even worth more than $40.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Guitar., May 3, 2005

The beautiful finish on this guitar will captivate your fans and you strum away the solo to "Free Bird" by: Led Zeppelin. Well, maybe you're not that advanced at guitar yet. Either way, this guitar is a spectacular instrument for beginners, or masters of the art. Whether you're a long time player looking for a beautiful new collection to your array of guitars, or a beginner looking for a sweet looking guitar to start off on, you'll certainly enjoy playing this guitar. This is my third electric guitar, and I personally have grown attached to it. It just begs to be played, so snatch one up before they're all gone!
