If you are looking for a comprehensive book about the Modernista buildings in Barcelona this ranks among the best. It could very well be the best.

Being published in the early '90 to answer the increasing interest in Barcelona's Art Nouveau buildings - due to the Olympics in 1992 - it's a very polished and lush book. It doesn't include all buildings (there are at least 150) but with 63 it picks the most interesting.

With many beautiful photo's (507 in total) it does exactly what it says: showing mouthwatering Architectural Details and Delights.

For anyone interested in Art Nouveau it couldn't get any better then this.

If you want something more affordable try Barcelona: A Modernista Landscape from the same author (being a "best of" from this book) showing fewer buildings and photo's but still good value for money.
