Mmmmm even better than the first time,

This second novel in the World of Marna series is much easier to follow than the first; relying much more on the story it tells to engage the reader than the lengthy descriptions of the first novel. I have heard it said that Adrian Drake has hit his stride on this one and I'd have to agree. The story grabs you from the first pages and does not let go. Adventure, action, high paced and well timed is great. Mr. Drake as always, still has his flair for revving up a battle scene like no other. Also in tale we have a tangled weave of romance is add with just enough naughty bits for fun. It's got it all. After reading this novel I am not sure I can stand waiting for the next in the series.
