Great characters and a quick lively story line keeps the adventure moving in this tale of a magical Europe.Legendary characters and historical references intermingle with an abandon that defies factual accuracy. But who cares!? It's a great story. Sword and sorcery lovers in particular will find it a great read.

I've read 3 of Keith Taylor's Bard books, and I felt this one
was the best. It deals with Felimid's meeting the Norse pirate
Gudrun Blackhair, and their travels. Part of it seemed to
be short stories that had been novelized, but it still reads
well. Plenty of adventure, humour, and a strong female
character make this a very enjoyable book.
