I have used Bare Escentuals foundation for 10 years. I needed to restock and inadvertently bought the matte finish instead of the ID. The matte foundation is terrible - the color that I use (Medium Beige) is darker and looks like it is caked on. Every fine facial line is visible. I love the original but would highly recommend you try the matte finish in the store before buying.

After being so disappointed with the shiny, whitish finish I got from the Original foundation in Fairly Light, I wasn't sure if Bare Minerals would work for me. I'm so glad I gave the Matte a try. The coverage is good, it doesn't emphasize my pores, and it doesn't make my fine lines appear deeper like the Original did. After wearing Bare Minerals for a few weeks, I started to notice fewer breakouts and I'm very happy about that. I think to get that nice flawless effect you also need to get the Mineral Veil to go over this foundation. It diffuses light and makes the foundation stay put better. I don't think I'll ever go back to liquid foundations.

I regret not knowing about this product sooner. I mean, over the years I've seen the informercials, but I've been skeptical. Much to my advantage, I have an ULTA store like, literally DOWN THE STREET from my home, and I go there a lot, and realised that they carry BareMinerals. I decided to let the nice young lady try a few on me, and the Golden Medium one is the one that I see most fit. I am a mixed color girl with a very 'yellow' undertone, and for years I have been looking for a makeup that is yellow. Everything is either too pink, too brown, or too red for me. But this is amazing. I wear it under Too Faced Primed and Poreless face primer, and it makes me look like a porcelain doll without looking like I'm wearing too much makeup. It is kinda pricey, ($27.00 for a TINY tub) but it's so totally worth it. I will never go back to store brand makeup again!!!!!

I have been searching for the best loose powder foundation for quite a while now. I have used Mac as the best for a while, but it left my pores clogged and i kept having break outs if i wore it for too many hours. I found the Bare Escentuals and not only did it leave my skin feeling clean and breakout free but the color matched it better than anything. I prefer the matte version but the other version is great too! It gives you a nice dewy look.

i love bare minerals make up but the fairly light shade has a yellow tint to it that i dont like.

Since I don't wear any makeup, Bare Escentuals Minerals is a fantastic foundation to use for covering fine lines and blemishes on my skin. Once you start using it, you will never go back to using anything else.

Love this product, same product as the department store just the cost was cheaper. They even included a free brush which was also great!!! Love this product!!!!

covers and keeps my skin in great shape...no excessive drying or discoloration, it stays on
