5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest liner ever.
Once again Im reviewing another BE product. These Liner Shadows are amazing! If you use them as just a liner I really see it lasting you a year! You use such a small amount. You also really need to get their eye liner brush...the combination of the two is what makes this product work so well. I used to try liquid liners and found them difficult to put on or it never...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too messy
I wanted a powder eye liner. I guess I should've known it was going to be messy. But I don't really use it because it gets all over my counter, but even worse all over my face. I like how it looks but at some point in the day it rubs off onto my face. I also wish that included was a little dish or something to mix the powder with water, I just use a small mirror. I...

Once again Im reviewing another BE product. These Liner Shadows are amazing! If you use them as just a liner I really see it lasting you a year! You use such a small amount. You also really need to get their eye liner brush...the combination of the two is what makes this product work so well. I used to try liquid liners and found them difficult to put on or it never looked quite right. With the liner shadow and brush I got amazing results the first time! If you want you can use them wet, dry, as an eyeliner, or eye shadow. When I use them as a liner they stay on all day but come off easy when washing my face. Their prices are pretty much the same everywhere. If you dont have a Bare Escentuals store nearby you try finding an Ulta store near you. Sephora sells them online only. Also ebay is great for trying samples!!! Their eye colors are really pigmented and you need so little that the samples will last you weeks!

4.0 out of 5 stars easy to apply and stays put, July 30, 2006

I really like this liner! I use a wet liner brush and just an itty bit of the liner powder; it goes on smoothly, is easy to touch up to get it just right, doesn't travel, and I can make a sharp line or a smudgy look very easily. The brush that came with the set I got isn't as nice...it takes a lot of twirling to get it into a point, but that's a small trade off. I like this liner a lot and will likely, over time, get rid of my pencil liners. The only thing I don't like is the packaging; this stuff is DARK and is easily spilled over the counter. I think a more vertical container with one opening would do better, rather than the usual four opening container. I kept the sticker over three of the four holes, and it still spills when I open it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can actually wear eyeliner!!!!, May 17, 2006
I've tried all different types of eyeliner -- pencil, liquid, gel, etc. I hated them all -- too thick, too thin, too messy, etc. I love this one. I use the soft focus eye liner brush. It's easy to apply. I like a softer, smudged look. I can get that easily with this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smokin'!, May 20, 2007

These are great if you like the smudged/feathered look. I can brush these on and have eyes like Theda Bara! The only trouble is that these liners do rub off and smear around (for example onto your brow-bone when you open your eyes) kind of easily, but they also wipe off easily and can be touched up without too much trouble.
Also, I recently bought some onyx and some soft black together online. When they arrived in the mail I was initially a bit dismayed, since the colors looked almost identical in the package. However, I'm happy to say that once they're on they look very different: the onyx is black (as one would expect) and the soft black appears as more of a dark grey, like I'd hoped.

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting a straight line, February 2, 2008
I've been using the shadow/liner for almost 2 years and absolutely LOVE it. For 2 reasons. 1. I have ALWAYS had issues with liner (usually a pencil...and I had been using Clinique's pencil liner/shadow duo which applies a colored shadow AFTER the liner for staying powder...but still never worked for me) smudging at the outside corner of my eye. Always. BE's shadow liner does NOT do that. I have yet to apply it wet, only dry and usually only under my bottom lashes but it stays put til I wash it off.
2. in order to get a good straight line with a pencil, I had to pull the skin around my eye somewhat taunt. OY...the damage I've done with THAT maneuver. With the BE shadow liner, I don't have to. The brush tucks up nicely underneath my bottom lashes and with short feather strokes I'm able to get exactly what I want. Oh...and it stays put. Did I mention that it stays put.

And it lasts fo-EVAH!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Bare Minerals Liner Shadow Onyx, January 24, 2007

Gives great coverage. Eye Shadow does last all day. It takes practice to get the hang of applying. However, this product is a little too messy for my every day use. They are too many holes which allows for too much product in the container at one time. I will use this for occassions when I have ample time to apply correctly.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Liner on the Market, March 30, 2007
I have been using BE now for about 8 months. I tried the pencil liners for many years, but with the same result...smudged off by the end of the day. This liner stays put when applied wet or dry. As for the "messy factor", yes it is more messy that a wet liner or a pencil, but I'll take a little mineral in my sink for the look I get with this product. As for needing a "mixing well", you can mix this in the lid, just dip the liner brush in some water and swirl in your liner shadow in the lid. When you're done, just wipe out the lid with a piece of tissue.

5.0 out of 5 stars True color that brings definition to the eyes, May 16, 2008
Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Liner Shadow...I use it everyday. I think the eyes are the gateway to the soul, as they say. And I think you should dress the eye as you would a window in your favorite room. And when you place those beautiful curtains on a window...what does it do? It justs seems to pull the whole room together. So what I mean by this is, simple. The eyes are the best focal point on a woman, like a window is to a room. So why not make those eyes just pop and pull the whole face together. By using this shadow liner, you do just that. The colors come in shades of the most innocent to very dramatic. I own many different shades and even mix them to create my own shade at times. They go on very silky with an eye liner brush. It has a great staying power as well. I sometimes use this as is, right out of the pot or I use it with the bareEscentuals liner sealer. When used with that, it becomes a liquid eye liner. This product doesn't flake. I have never had any eye irritation. However if you find that you have some specks that have fallen onto the face after applying, I use the Bare Escentuals multi-tasking bisque and with the concealer brush, I gently sweep the specks away. Easy as that. The liner can be made as bold and wide as you want or you can make it into a thin line. Either way, the results are fabulous. And as a woman...who doesn't want to look fabulous?!

3.0 out of 5 stars the compact shadow is better, November 3, 2006
I found a little inconvinient to use the loose power eye shadow, the package is small, but it is not portable since it is a loose powder
