I am a fair skinned strawberry blond and was worried about the smokey eye look being too dark on me. But this kit is great! You can apply it with a heavy hand or lighter hand and get different effects. The colors are great and would be great on any skin tone. BE really did a nice job putting this together!

Didn't like this much at all. The brush wasn't great to use and the 'dark' color was too light, while the 'light' color was a bit dark for highlighting. Probably better to get your own individual brushes and shadows. Also, for the 'smokey eye' look you should have 3 colors, not just two....

I've always been a very "low maintenance" kind of girl and I'm certainly not skilled in makeup application, but even for me the directions were easy to follow. The instructions show how to do two different versions of the smoky look. The first time I tried the classic smoky look, I was a little shocked by how glittery and shiny my eyelids looked, but then I used a big brush (not included) to get rid of some of the excess, and it was perfect. I also tried the more intense foiled look but it was too much for me, but I'm happy enough with the classic look that I'm very glad I got this tutorial. I highly recommend this product.
