Book Description

December 13, 2005
In America's fallible pursuit to find its Imperial feet across the oil-laden countries of the world, the rhetoric of the Religious Right says the United States is a "Christian Nation." Theirs is a world of lies and deceit with an orgy of biblical idolatry and historical fabrications toward the quest for an apocalyptic utopia. These so-called guardians of "truth" demand of us, the citizenry, the moral absolutism they are unable to follow themselves. Nevertheless, these charlatans repetitively claim to be the high-watermark of moral character in government, presumptuously waiting for a vacancy in the Trinity. To the casual observer, such malfunctions are plainly sad. The real agenda of the Religious Right however, is far more sinister, by attempting to cloak their lust of death, disease and destruction, behind a mask of virtue. In truth, the Religious Right is neither. They are Opportunists, Profiteers and Pirates, who use religion like a prostitute uses a streetlamp--as something to lean against, instead of illumination.
