This is a great cordless vacuum. I bought one and liked it so much I bought another for a gift and plan on buying some more for Christmas gifts. The 14.4 battery with 2.6 amps is great. I get tired of vacuuming before the battery runs out. It charges quickly. If you get or have other Makita tools that use 14.4v then it makes it easier to not have so many batteries. The charger I have charges all Makita batteries up to 18v. Also, sometimes I have found there are specials with drill sets, etc. that often include a charger and a couple extra batteries. I think it pays to get the Ni-MH 14.4v, 2.6Ah batteries. I think this is a great little vacuum. I bought it through Tools2you and they have been a great company to work with. They have accessories,bags,etc. available. The service and help I received from Tools2you is the best I have ever had. Just a super company with great people and I can promise you if you ever do have a problem, they go out of their way to make things right. Great Vacuum, Great Company.

I bought this because our pets constantly drag in leaves and such during the fall, and I got tired of hauling out the central vacuum hose & attachments. This little vacuum works great!! It does not have a beater brush like line-powered vacuums, but has a good amount of suction, and the battery lasts more than long enough for me to get through our fairly large house.

Don't forget to buy all THREE pieces, though: vacuum, battery and charger. I got the vacuum and battery, then had to order a charger and wait another week or so. Don't know why the don't sell them as a package.

I just got this vacuum and I have to say that it is the most powerful of all cordless vacuums I've owned. I have a gravel driveway and am always tracking gravel into the foyer. This little vac quickly sucks up gravel, doggie hair, etc. I would have to go over the same area a few times with my other vacuums and my last one would not pick up gravel at all. Another plus is that it is a very neutral off-white color and blends in perfectly anywhere as well as being very light weight even with the heavy duty battery. I like it so much that I am going to order another one.

this is the best portable vacuum hand down expensive yes but it delivers on quality and ease of use a absolute must have ( forget dyson overpriced and to much hype not enough quality
