5.0 out of 5 stars Never seen anything like it!
It really is a 6-7/8 inch saw, but mine came with a lower guard from the 18 volt, 6-1/2 inch saw, so the blade wouldn't fit. An eMail to Milwaukee brought the correct part in two days. I clamped a 3/4 inch pipe in the vise and very carefully eased the blade into it. In three seconds it was two pipes! No loud screaming noise. No bad tendencies to grab or kickback. No...

3.0 out of 5 stars good saw, some questionable features
I bought this saw, and put an mk morse 6 1/2" metal cutting blade on it. After a few cuts on 1/8" mild steel, the blade starting sparking when it was cutting instead of just leaving metal files. Apart from that, the cuts I made with the blade appear to be decent in quality. Then I tried to put in Milwaukee's supplied 6 7/8" blade, the blade doesn't fit. I call...

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bare-Tool Milwaukee 0740-20 V28 Lithium 6-7/8-Inch Cordless Metal Cutting Circular Saw (Tool Only, No Battery) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I call Milwaukee and apparently that's a known issue. I return the saw to amazon. They send me a new one (good customer service amazon) and not only the same problem but the collet lock is missing. Milwaukee, where is your QA? Am I not buying a quality tool here? Two bad tools in a row, that's pretty pathetic for a professional's tool company. So, I tell Amazon, and they tell me to return the replacement, and they will try to resolve the issue with Milwaukee, and they will get back to me in an indeterminate length of time. So, here I am without a saw I would like to have. I think it's a good saw with some weak points if Milwaukee can build it right. I don't have an opinion on the supplied blade as I could never get it installed on the tool.

No sparks. Doesn't leave any burrs. The cut metal is barely warm. This saw slices through steel like a magic trick!
The metal chips are very thin flakes. They are well controlled and don't fly out with much velocity, but they stick to clothing and even a magnet doesn't catch all of them. Eye protection is really important.
For electrical work this is much better than a portable bandsaw. It's faster and it cuts dry, so there's no oil slinging around, and no need to file the cut edges. Uni-Strut and conduit cut just like 2x4s.
