34 x 52 pole parn burned down last week. I purchased this saw to cut up the huge pile of sheet metal scrap from the roof and side walls. This tool won't cut anything because the vendor "DAMLOW PRICES" shipped it to me without a blade. How can you call something a "metal cutting circular saw" if you don't ship the "saw" part of the tool with the motor. They should advertize it as a High quality motor with a handle, because that is all they sold me. They didn't sell me a saw. The vendor "DAMLOW PRICES" decided to remove the blade before shipping the saw to me. I have purchased Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and even the cheap Denali cordless circular saws from various venders as "bare tools" and they always come with the blade. They are shipped from the manufacturer that way. This vendor clearly shows the blade in the picture and clearly indicates that the battery doesn't come with it. The product description states
"Product Description Tool includes: 6 7/8" blade". Milwaukee makes great tools but this one is useless to me. Now I have to pay to return the saw and I still have several thousand square feet of burned and twisted steel barn siding and roofing to deal with......."DAMLOW PRICES" is the only vendor I have ever purchased from that removed the blade from a saw before shipping it as a bare tool. It is unlikely that I will ever buy anything from "DAMLOW PRICES" again. I have returned this tool to "Damlow Prices at a cost of $16 using the U.S Postal service. They sent me a refund that was $17 less than what I origionally paid them, so it only cost me $33 and I recieved nothing of value for it. What a deal! I have posted a photo of the 10 other "bare tool" circular saws that I have purchased from various vendors. Every one of them came with a blade, what a concept! I ordered a replacement from "Tool King". I assume all is well and will edit this if it is not. Milwaukee makes great tools. My saw arrived today (June 1st) from "Tool King". It was more than I expected. It came with a red plastic "Milwaukee" tool case that is large enough for the tool, has storage space for a spare blades and has room for a battery charger and spare battery (battery and charger not included). It also came with the "Milwaukee" metal cutting blade (mounted in the blade storage area of the case, a pair of "Milwaukee" safety glasses, and the "Milwaukee" owners manual and product registration paper work sealed in plastic. This makes for a first class package. When I ordered a "Bare tool" I only expected to get the saw and the blade. The storage case and the safety glasses were a pleasant suprise. I will take some photo's of this saw actually cutting metal and post them in the near future. (I have 20 foot long metal roofing panels that I have to fit into a 18 foot long trailer). "Tool King" will be at the top of my list for future purchases. They sent me everything that "Milwaukee" sent to them. If you buy this from "Damlow Prices" you will not be able to cut anything with it because they don't ship the blade with the saw and if you ask them to supply the blade they won't, and then they will tell you to send it back at your own expense. That is my experience, perhaps yours will be better. My experience is that I am out $33 and they get to sell this same saw to someone else and make even more money. Since it didn't come in a "Milwaukee" box makes it me wonder how many other people have bought this same saw and returned it in its plain brown box. Please vote if this review was helpful. I sure wish I had the chance to read a review like this before ordering anything from "Damlow Prices"

I purchased this saw as a bit of an unknown. Seemed that it might be useful IF it worked as expected. No way - it's MUCH MUCH better than I could have imagined. First cuts through 1.25 inch thick wall tubing. No fuss, no effort, NO SPARKS. Smooth cuts with few or no burrs. Why haven't I had one for 10 years? Oh well, live and learn.
BTW, I am using this with the V18 Lithium batteries. It was designed for NiCads, but is forward compatible.

What can I say, it's a slick little unit and does what it claims to do. I initially bought one saw. But after pricing out what a spare blade would cost, I ordered up a second saw from Tool King. It worked out as cheap, if not cheaper than buying the the blade by itself. Both shipments came with a saw, blade, safety glasses & believe it or not, a CASE! No complaints at all with Tool King. Like the other reviewer, I initally considered purchasing from DAMLOW PRICES as they were a few bucks cheaper than Tool King when you added in the shipping. Ultimately due to Tool King's higher positive rating here & on Ebay, I chose them. I'm glad that I did. By the way, the saws that I received from Tool King came with a 36 tooth 6-7/8" metal cutting blade that uses a 20mm arbor. If you want to use a blade with a 5/8" arbor, you can order a new set of inner/outer blade flanges for a couple of bucks from EReplacement Parts. These are the same ones used on the Milwaukee 6310-20 Cordless Circular Saw.

I was searching for a metal cutting blade for my Milwaukee 18V 6 1/2" saw when I found I could buy the "bare tool" saw and blade almost as cheap as I could buy the blade. What a smart buy. I purchased this for a demo project that involved cutting 5V tin from a roof. This thing is awesome. Cuts through the metal like butter. What a great find. I'm now going to buy the Lithium-Ion batteries to enhance my bag of tools. I highly recommend this little saw.

The saw lives up to its name. I am impressed with what it can do. The only thing I was disapointed with was how fast the battery ran out of juice. Concidering what I was cutting I can't complain about it.

In the electrical field, I use a sawzall alot on the job and just saw this tool and bought it. It is twice as acurate with a cleaner cut. I don't know what I did without it. I may be partial to the Milwaukee brand, but they have never let me down. No other tool on the market competes. The only negative is that it does run on NiCad batteries, which wasn't a big deal for me as i had a set with batteries. You would be a fool not to purchase this saw. Just the blade alone is $45. So to get the tool and the blade for this price is a great deal.

This review is from: Bare-Tool Milwaukee 6320-20 18-Volt Ni-Cad 6-1/2-Inch Cordless Metal Cutting Circular Saw (Tool Only, No Battery) (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this saw only to replace the blade on the saw I already own. The saw itself works great but in truth the blade is the best part. What is sad though is that the entire saw with the blade is only a few dollars more than just the blade. I figured I'd get the blade with the saw attached and have spare parts for the saw if ever needed. Before buying this I did try a Panasonic metal cutting blade. It worked horribly. I was trying to cut 3/16" steel and I didn't even get 4 inches and the blade was shot. With the Milwaukee blade it not only cut it with ease but has many cuts left. These blades are nothing short of amazing. I wish the blades were less money in relation to the cost of the entire saw with the blade but in reality the blades are worth the nearly $50 they cost. Buy it with the saw attached and you get the saw for a few bucks!

Purchased this item from RBF distributors and recieved the item on time and in good condition. This saw came with safety glasses & blade in original manufacturers box less impact resistant case. Like another reviewer, I've purchased from "Damlow Prices" before (impact driver v18)and while I have no complaints they do tend to ship their products out of box with very little packing. I beleive they actually sell completes kits peice by peice, thus you recieve your product with very little else.
This is a good solid tool, when cutting large peices of metals I would suggest a proper work area/bench to avoid pinching of the blade as with any saw.

Called seller in advance of the order to verify the blade was included which it was. No long wait on hold. Agent was polite and professional. The saw arrived on time and in perfect condition. Could not ask for anything more.

I use this all the time and it works great. The battery life I wish was better ( last longer and more powerfull) but it does what I need it to do which is mostly cut where there is no outlet close by or I dont want to break out the large circular saw and cords.
Not hugely powerfull, so you can sieze it up if you push it but just give it time to get through the material and it will cut it. |
