5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars... for following God...
I just saw Philmore tonight and I talked to Justin (lead singer and guitarist) about the online talk on their new CD being not Godly. Justin said they (the band) and their pastor prayed a lot about where to head with their next CD, and God has shown them to target non-christians more. They do this by singing about their lives and being moral. And though it's not...

1.0 out of 5 stars WHERE IS JESUS????????????????????????????!
I bought this CD known that Philmore will never change. I WAS VERY WRONG! The first CD was awesome. It had every ounce of Jesus, from dating to life. This CD is very disappionting. There is not one line or word about christianity. It went from allowing God to direct him to his girlfriend, to how to get one buy been 'cool.' I will not listen to this CD again. I pray...

This review is from: Bare Truth About Philmore (Audio CD)
I just saw Philmore tonight and I talked to Justin (lead singer and guitarist) about the online talk on their new CD being not Godly. Justin said they (the band) and their pastor prayed a lot about where to head with their next CD, and God has shown them to target non-christians more. They do this by singing about their lives and being moral. And though it's not directly Jesus-in-your-face, not aiming for worship, this album has a purpose to lead kids to a conviction in their own lives, starting with the simple things, as spoken in "Bare Truth About Philmore". As for the concert, it was true that probably many unsaved kids were there (even in the Christian Club). They played most of their new songs, and all the worship songs from the "Self-Titled" CD. The concert was worshipful to me, and witnessing to those unsaved, and I had joy in it, being reasured by talking to Justin :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Philmore, October 18, 2002
This review is from: Bare Truth About Philmore (Audio CD)
I understand that we cannot find lyrics in The Bare Truth...that directly report towards Christ. Philmore's music has changed, but it also hasn't. Their lyrics have changed, and although I am disappointed that there is no Christianity to this album, it still ROCKS in my eyes and in the eyes of the Lord. 10 songs: 10 excellent poppy rock fun songs. These guys are having fun with this album, just as they have before....

5.0 out of 5 stars My Fav Band And My Fav Album, April 25, 2003
This is the best album i have ever heard. I listen to mxpx, relient k, ace troubleshooter, bleach, etc. but philmore blows me away. Granted, they didn't talk much about God in this album, but neither mxpx (for instance) doesn't either. I didn't think the songs sounded the same either and I love playing along with these songs on my guitar. My favorite song is Until June (they harmonize so good) it's just awesome. You just gotta get this cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars Philmore gone secular???, March 3, 2002
It seems as though Philmore has gone secular. I couldn't even fine one referance to Jesus, the Bible, etc. This is still a pretty good C.D., although the sound is drastically different from their older albums. However, it gets repetitive. Some of the songs sound pretty much the same. The best song on here is Mon Pettite Chou-Chou. If you are looking for a good punk album, you will most likely be disappointed. Try checking out Ace Troubleshooter's self-titled release.
