Insight in to state of business in PRC,
By Scott E Darpel (Twinsburg, Ohio USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Barefoot in the Boardroom: Venture and Misadventure in the People's Republic of China (Paperback)
I found this book very educational. Purves' writting made it hard to put down. I finished the book on two plane rides between Cleveland and Austin. Purves presents his impressions in a non-judgemental way; this is just how things are. Excellent reading for anyone planning to have business dealings in the PRC.

A must read for anybody considering a joint venture in China,
By A Customer
This review is from: Barefoot in the Boardroom: Venture and Misadventure in the People's Republic of China (Paperback)
Bill Purves writes a clear and concise review of life in an old fashioned Chinese work unit. The real strength of the book lies in his descriptions of the lives of the Chinese workers of the factory. If you've ever been there and wondered why things happen the way they do, this book will go a long way towards answering your questions.
