Book Description

October 30, 2012 Barefoot Bay (Book 2)
A Barefoot Bay Novel

They say you can never go home again . . .

When "Life Coach to the Stars" Jocelyn Bloom is embroiled in scandal, the only place she can hide is the one place she wishes she could forget. She left Barefoot Bay-and the boy next door who knew all her secrets-years ago. Now nothing about the tiny island off the coast of Florida is quite how she remembers it, especially Will Palmer. He's even more gorgeous and tempting . . . and still capable of turning her world inside out.

But what if someone is waiting for you?

To Will Palmer, Guy Bloom is more than the elderly, senile neighbor he looks after-he's the last connection to Jocelyn, the woman Will loved and lost. But the reunion with Jocelyn doesn't go smoothly. Shocked by the change in her father's personality, Jocelyn struggles to reconcile her dark childhood with the sweet, confused man who has grown close to Will. Jocelyn has guided countless clients to happiness-but can she escape the rainy days of her past for a new sunny future with Will?

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, beautiful, impossible to forget. October 30, 2012
By B
Format:Kindle Edition
When Jocelyn Bloom finds herself caught in the middle of a media scandal, she seeks shelter in the one place she never expected to return: Barefoot Bay. She'd left it behind many years ago, along with her dark past, and hoped she never had to revisit any of it again.

But in a twist of fate, Jocelyn finds herself right back where she started: back at her hometown, with her father back in her life, and the sexual tension between her and Will Palmer, boy next door with who was once her best friend, was just ever-growing. Sparking. You could cut it with a knife. Except... Jocelyn had worked her whole life to escape this and flee from her past. Even though things were significantly different this time - she was older, her father's personality was completely changed - she had once tried this life and it hadn't worked out. Could she do it again? Put the past behind and work on the future? Heal, grow and forgive?

I found Jocelyn to be an amazing heroine and relatable in every way. The best thing about her is that she makes you feel very much. She's smart, she's loving, she's loyal, but mostly, she's this woman who's been through so much, and she's trying to find her way in the world, because it seems that everything she thought she knew wasn't so. It's amazing to see her grow and change.

I loved Will, too. I think he was a hero that every girl would want for themselves, especially if they were in Jocelyn's shoes. He's cute and funny and smart, and he's just so darned nice. He's working through his own issues, but he's always selfless and putting everyone ahead of him! So hero-like! The way the romance between him and Jocelyn builds up is just the best thing!

As always - and this is one of my favorite thing about Roxanne St. Claire's books - the set of secondary characters was amazing! I have to confess, every chapter I turned I was looking forward to scenes with Zoe, Lacey and Tessa! They're just so much fun!!! And, I absolutely fell in love with Guy. I cannot describe just how beautifully his character is written and how complex it is. I don't want to give spoilers, but Mrs. St. Claire deals with such a tough subject like Alzheimer's in such a touching, beautiful, unique way!

I adored this book in every way! I want to read it over and over and over again! I recommend it to everyone! I cannot wait for the next one in the series (Zoe's!!!!).
