Jane Tilwell seems so calm at all times; however, she hides behind her cool exterior the fact that security specialist Mathias Montgomery makes her heart beat leap off the charts. She knows it will not be easy, but she needs to avoid the hunk, future brother-in-law to her boss at the art gallery she works.

Caught unaware that a break-in exercise is occurring, Mathias pins Jane to the floor. He does not want to get up nor does she want him too. However, reluctantly Mathias being the consummate professional returns to the security task at hand, but not before promising her that this is just the beginning. He arrives at her place begging her for a weekend of sex like neither she has ever had before.

BARENAKED JANE is a fascinating erotic romance starring two strong obstinate protagonists (some might insist antagonists) who demand to be on top at all times. The story line is an entertaining battle of the sexes filled with heat that scorches the pages and your fingers. Reader sill enjoy the torrid relationship war to determine just who is in charge with battle scenes in the boudoir, on the floor, the table, and just about any place imaginable as Jane and Mathias share one equatorial weekend leading to much more.

It took me nearly a year to give in and buy Undressing Mercy and I regret it to this day. That book was wonderful. So purchasing Barenaked Jane I thought this one would be a little more tame.....GUESS AGAIN!! This book is better than Undressing Mercy. I was hooked from the first page and the love scenes are scorching hotttt!!! I could not put this book down. Deanna Lee is officially one of my favorite authors and I will contine to read her material.

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time reading anything by this author. Since the book was marketed as erotica, I was not expecting much of a plot, but I was pleasantly surprised. The novel is the second in a series, and while I wanted to immediately go back and buy the first novel about Jane's boss, Mercy, this book stands well on its own. The characters felt very real, complex but likeable. Jane and Mathias fall into lust at first sight, and then get to know each other. While the romance progressed very quickly, it was really handled well, and didn't feel at all forced. My only complaint would be that Deanna Lee overdoes the sex scenes the first time they get together. Consequently I found myself just skipping the pages during similar scenes in the latter half of the book, because by then I felt that I had already seen them explore all the usual avenues for fulfilment. Nonetheless, the writing was excellent. I felt that the story would have been compelling even without the romance aspect. I look forward to reading her other works...
