"Bargain Beauty Secrets" is the perfect book for those who want to look good and feel great, but do not want to spend tons of money on beauty products and supplies. Diane Irons' tips are easy to follow and require little or no money at all. Many money-saving tips and advice are included for fitness, make-up and cosmetics, accessories & clothes, travel, shopping, and much more. Plus, there are lots of homemade facials, masks, and remedies, all that require simple, unexpensive materials easily found at home or the supermarket. Not only that, but the book also included many model and celebrity secrets from people such as Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and much more. Anyone who has enjoyed Diane Irons' other books or wants to look beautiful without spending too much money will love this book.

This is a good compilation of beauty tips. The tips are organized in different chapters, such as diet, excercise, hands, feet and so on. However, this is not a basic beauty book. If you are looking for the whole picture, look elsewhere. That said, some of these tips are really good. There are several do-it-yourself beauty treatments. Diane Irons also gives tips on how to proceed: this is a collection of beauty tips, but some principles are outlined as well. Try to be creative. Simplify. Do not accept meaningless statements such as it cannot be done on a such and such budget. As a matter of fact, Diane Irons succeeds to show that it can indeed be done. Being beautiful and well-groomed does not need to cost that much. Maybe you wish to save in some areas and splurge on others. You do not have to do it all. This is a collection of inspiring ideas that you can pick and choose from. The beauty of it is that you have a choice: where to spend and where to save.

What a great little book! Diane Irons brings insider tips,
model tricks, and thousands of ways to look and feel more
beautiful. As usual, the natural, alternative techniques
are included, but there's so much more. There are inexpensive
fitness techniques, fast fixes for emergencies, and great spa
recipes. I like to keep Diane's latest book right by my
makeup mirror to try a tip a day!

I have read several of Diane Iron's books and this one is up to par with her other books. I think that this is the first book, in her series of books about beauty, that a person should read. As a make-up artist, I feel that I have a great deal of knowledge about makeup and beauty but Diane Irons always, always teaches me something new.

For only 12 US dollars, this book is a sure pick-up for those into beauty secrets and eager to advance their look in a cheaper, more stylish way. Honest advice that sometimes is too common sense and overheard, mixed in with interesting segments that I'm anxious to try, the book isn't the end-all of beauty advice by far, but it's a book covering a wide variety of things in a short, chopped, easy to reference manner. There are many tips here I haven't seen elsewhere.

A good bathroom read, but I was not super-impressed with this book. A lot of the information in this book is easily found online...if you are looking for it. That being said, If there are those of you who don't like doing your own research, this book is your god-send.

This is not a bad book for us beauty junkies, but don't expect to be overwhelmed by dozens of true insider "secrets". The info in this book is almost like a mash up of tips, tricks, and hints from the various beauty magazines. I have read a lot of what is in the book before, though some was new to me. There are no pictures to go along with their hints and tips, which I would have preferred. It can be hard to replicate some aspects of makeup application when it is only in words and not pictures. A good book for the teenage years.
