But then what do you expect for something that costs $.01? Actually it cost $4.00 with the shipping, but wasn't worth sending back.

I just won't work... ugh! I lost the charger for my new (gen 4?) shuffle and was hoping for an inexpensive replacement. This won't work, so just save yourself the trouble and by an authentic apple charger.

This cable does work with a 2nd gen shuffle. Don't waste your money. There are cheaper cables on Amazon that do work with them.

Not sure if this works for other models of iPod Shuffles, however, it does not work for the 4th gen Shuffle. If you have a 4th gen Shuffle, look elsewhere.
