When I Purchased my phone it was because you could use it as an mp3 and for pictures. After the purchase I discovered that you needed the cable to download the music then I find out that the cable was $50. There was no way I was going to spend that after paying $100 for the phone and service. I was so happy to see that Amazon had it so much cheaper and I trust their products.

This cable came as a good price ($.01) ^_^ Plus shipping if course, but it makes putting all thos pictures on your computer so much easier if you don't have a card reader. I used to have to email the pictures to myself in order to get them. Not anymore! Other reviews recommended going to the Nokia web site and downloading the software insteard of using the cd, that's what I did and I haven't had any problems so far.

The cable works as it should and the sender is prompt in delivery. By using this product you save time by not having to take out the tiny MicroSD card and possibly losing it or damaging it .Plus, not all computers have SD card slots; the USB allows a more universal approach. You can simply used the cable as a flashdrive like device or download the free software at Nokia. Data transfer can be slow for large files however its benefits out weigh the detriments. I would highly recommend this product. And as a proprietary pop-port attachment I'm sure it will be useful on future Nokia phones.

Great price, quick shipping, packaged well. I'll definitely use SF Planet again if they have something I need.

Cable for my Nokia 6133did not fit

There was mis-match between the cable end that should fit into the the Nokia. SF/Planet is to rebate my cost.

The illustration may be generic, but you get the correct USB for you Nokia model. With Nokia's software, up- and down-loads are fast and easy of photos, music, and lots of stuff I don't bother with. The main thing is you do get the right cord, and you pay a tiny fraction of what you'll pay at your cell-phone provider's store!
(I also bought one for my 6650Fold from them).

Got my cable and it fits, but it will not connect to my pc no matter what I do. I wonder if the issue is with my pc, the cable, or my cell phone. I strongly believe is not the pc since I tried to connect it to my wife`s pc and it does not work either.I am returning it right away.

The first time I attached this to my phone - one of the plastic pieces that go into the phone snapped off in the phone - I couldn't get it out of the phone connector! I had to bring my phone to my T-Mobile dealer so they could remove it----carefully - there was no way I was gonna try and then get stuck damaging the phone and have to buy a new phone - over a $2.00 cable!! Couldn't use it - but was not worth it to pay shipping and send back to get a new one all over again!
Ended up buying a card reader thumb drive.

It's exactly what we ordered, and the price was good. The software that came with it was out of date, but that was easily fixed by a visit to the Nokia site.

I give this item five stars because it does what it does, and who can complain about that. Also, its construction is pretty sturdy concerning most link/phone cable attachments.

I originally got this because I had a sound file on my computer that I wanted to used for a ring tone (make sure they're proper sound files and proper size, i.e. Midi files @ like 3.5kB, etc). Once you get the cable it comes with a CD for easy installment for a program (more like a simple window) for your computer to recognize your phone.

Once connected, it's as simple as having another hard drive, disc or memory unit attached to your computer. You can open a window to browse through your phone files just like your computer's documents. Depending on how much memory your phone holds, you can take all sorts of doc. off your computer and store it on your phone, think of it like a memory stick [again, most phones don't come with a lot of memory, thus you can upgrade to + a couple gigs] Be wary, I tried storing a word document on it, and it does store! However, you can't open it from your phone, but if you wanted to store it there for safe keeping (or to transfer to another computer) you could. *** If you're thinking of linking between two computers, make sure the software for the cable is installed on both computers you wish to link between. Or, most phone memory sticks come big a bigger adapter housing so you can plug it into a camera, or computer if it has that sort of attachment.

The software also as a great little window that allows you to manage your music files and playlists for your phone. The format is really easy to follow, think of it like your zune, ipod, or media player.

A perfect buy for your phone whether it's making a few select files easy to store, or just personalizing your phone one step beyond.
