A book that will produce some of the great barroom discussions of our time. Who needs this book? Anyone with a favorite neighborhood watering hole and an opinion! Well written, funny, engaging and endlessly entertaining. Well done!

Even if you don't drink, this book is a fun time to be had hanging out with your friends. You'll certainly come up with lots more on your own too. great book that will make you really think about things that you never thought about.

Having known Doug and his counterpoint Eric for a long time, I loved this book. The whole time I read along, I could see the conversations, the players, and the locations. My wife and I sat down to go through this one together (each holding our own copy) and laughed and thought, and tried to avoid arguing for real. Just a really fun conversation starter for everyone.

This book is a collection of questions to debate where there is no clear path to resolution and where the points to be made in support or opposition to any conclusion are largely based on personal feelings or facts subject to interpretation. The premise is that these are issues that can be raised in a debate over your alcoholic beverage of choice in a bar. Some examples are:

*) Would you rather give up air travel or meat?
*) Which song would you ban from the wedding receptions?
*) Is basketball, baseball, or football more entertaining to watch on television?

I worked construction right out of high school and reading this book reminded me of one debate I engaged in with some of co-workers. The issue that we discussed was, "What reference books should be kept behind the bar so that disputes could be settled by looking up the facts?" There are no great or profound issues in this book, just a list of ice breaking discussion points where people can make their points without ever really having to reach a point of conclusion.

I love this book! I heard about it from my friend and decided to order one. I got it sooner than I had expected and in perfect condition.
