The first time we used this gauge it didn't work and the tank overflowed, my husband was able to get the bobber working after some fiddling... but then we hooked the tank up and drove it up the hill to the waste tank to empty it and the gauge came off and dropped all the pieces all the way up the road behind us! We managed to find all but one of the pieces, so after one not so great use we have to buy a new one :( I don't think I will replace the product knowing how fragile it is. I guess it is just easier to eyeball the fill level.

I just received my Bobber Gauge and I'm a little disappointed. First, the floater is made of two pieces of rubber/foam and the two had already broken. It was easier to super glue them back together than to return the product, so that's what I did. Second, this seems a bit fragile for something that's going to protrude from a tank that tends to get manhandled. The plastic it's made from seems brittle. If you put this on your tank and leave it there, I'd be sure you have the tank's original cap just in case this thing breaks. The directions also indicate that in order to use the gauge you'll need to have your RV hose positioned just right, that seems like it may be a bit much. I haven't tried the gauge out yet, so I can't speak to it's performance. For the price, it may prove worth it. We'll see.

The cup isn't deep enough to thread on to the holding tank. When, through sheer force, it finally held by 1/4 of a thread, there is no venting on the tank to keep waste flowing. If it wasn't a $5 part, I would have returned it... instead, it got flushed with the waste water.

Everyone should have ONE!
Especially if you own a TOTE Along Tank.
Can't say as I LOVE it.. but it keeps things where they need to be...so to speak!
Definitely takes the guess work out of emptying your holding tanks if you can't depend on your guages..and I don't.
Plus...no batteries required! What more could you ask for.
