5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Doesn't Taste Like Fish
I've been using this for a while. First, it's a great way to get the fish oils that they say we should eat a couple of times a week (apparently to reduced the risk of certain cardio-vascular diseases). I am not able to comment about that, but I can say my skin looks better and less dry when I eat this regularly. Secondly, it doesn't taste like fish at all. In fact, I...

2.0 out of 5 stars Citrus helps, but still really potenent
I bought the liquid form of this because of the easy absorbtion, thinking the orange flavor would make it tollerable, but it is still really fishy. I'm going to finish the bottle, but don't think I will purchase this again. Also, the internal seal came open during packaging and leaked everywhere, not fun to clean up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Doesn't Taste Like Fish, November 14, 2007
I've been using this for a while. First, it's a great way to get the fish oils that they say we should eat a couple of times a week (apparently to reduced the risk of certain cardio-vascular diseases). I am not able to comment about that, but I can say my skin looks better and less dry when I eat this regularly. Secondly, it doesn't taste like fish at all. In fact, I preferred the unflavored until Barleans stopped making the unflavored. However, the Orange and the Lemon are good too. I use them on salads, instead of normal oil, where I do not mind a lemon or orange flavor. I also add it to food after being cooked (fish oil cannot be used for cooking because it changes the properties of the oil). The down side is that it's relatively expensive and must be used quickly (several weeks?) after opening. However, I do not like taking capsules and the liquid is much easier, so this product is right for me.

The price is reasonable.
The taste is great (for fish oil that is). The citrus flavor off sets the fishy taste pretty well. And while you can still taste a bit of fishy, that's to be expected cause that is what it is. :-)

I think someone else commented about this as well but...about a week after I started taking this, my dry eyes weren't so bad any more.
And being that this oil is from mercury free fish, it's okay to take while pregnant. And I'm pregnant so I was concerned about this.

It doesn't make the refridgerator stick either.
The bottle has an easy, no mess top...like the ketchup bottles.
I would recommend this over ANY other fisk oil out there...even over flax, which some people argue is better. However, if you're pregnant, you don't want to be taking flax oil because it can cause an estrogen imbalance.

Barlean's Fresh Catch has a great taste and has the highest levels of EPA/DHA of any other fish oil I've found.

I did a lot of research before deciding on Barlean's fish oil (orange flavor) and we're loving it! It seems to be the best option for the daily levels of DHA/EPA that we should be taking. It doesn't taste fishy at all, we just make it a habit to take a tsp right after dinner. And yes, we keep it in the fridge, which seems to make it easier to take.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fish oil for kids, October 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this to mix into my son's cereal before bed because I wanted to make sure he was getting enough DHA now that he is off of formula. It has an orange flavor that he enjoys. For a child, one bottle has lasted about 2 months. I would recommend it for this usage, but for an adult it would be easier to take a softgel for sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality, easy to use fish oil, January 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I take a lot of fish oil, 2 to 3 grams of total EPA and DHA which allows my body to recover from hard workouts and other inflammatory issues.

I initially took capsule form, but was taking 18-24 capsules daily to get the same amount and was plagued with dreaded fish burps. When I was recommended a liquid version I balked at actually drinking fish oil and had castor oil flashbacks.

Bottom line, this fish oil has an amazing amount of EPA and DHA and I take 2 tsp a day, one with breakfast and one at dinner. It tastes like oranges and I can't even tell it is fish oil but most importantly since it is cold processed there are no fish burps at all.

One last thing, this is a black squeeze bottle which does not allow either damaging light or impurities (which can both make the oil rancid and useless) into the bottle.

This stuff seems to be very good for my mood...
It tastes pretty decent and is fairly cheap for the potency.

Good stuff. Cheaper way of going then pills. I give it to my kids and self and we enjoy it. Wife is not a fish fan and will not try, even though we keep saying it's good (ha ha) and it is.
We keep it in the fridge and have it just before supper. Had it once at bed time...not a good idea w/ out eating other foods as it caused a gassy tummies. But w/ supper it has never caused any problems or burps later.
Glad we got it.
