5.0 out of 5 stars Great Price
I found this company at the Arnold Classic last March and decided to order their product. This version is the best priced one and most importantly, it does NOT cause any burping even when taking on an empty stomach. With the flavoring, the capsules don't even smell bad when opening the bottle.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great marketing, poor product
First of all, pharmaceutical grade fish oil is supposed contain at least 60% EPA and DHA omega-3's of the entire serving. That is a requisite for it to be labeled 'pharmaceutical.' Barlean's actually has 600 mg(EPA+DHA) per 2000 mg total. That is 30%. You may wonder what the other 1400 mg consists of. Mainly, stuff that you wouldn't want to be ingesting in the first...

Mainly, stuff that you wouldn't want to be ingesting in the first place. Sure 250 capsules sounds like an incredible amount. More than a half year's worth of fish oil for only 20 bucks! The back, however, suggests you take 2-6 tablets a day. I was also under the impression that these were molecularly distilled. I don't know why I thought so, maybe I read that somewhere else about another one of Barleans products. Either way, these are not.
These are not terrible, and I am sure I am being harsher than necessary, but it seems that the only thing people care about is the taste(or lack thereof). I am more concerned with the benefits of the actual product itself.
The marketing team has done a splendid job with Barleans fish oil(organic, the 'five layer protection', and selling them as pharmaceutical). I am convinced they are nothing special, though I will continue to finish off the bottle that I impulsively purchased.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite fish oil, December 1, 2011

This is my favorite brand (and "flavor") fish oil because it's the only one I've tried that doesn't give me fish burps. I find that taking fish oil on a daily basis (which I don't always do due to laziness) really makes a difference in my overall health. It especially helps with acne and oily skin. Acne is partially related to errors in fatty acid metabolism, and omega 3s help normalize this.

I have been using this oil for over a year and Barlean is one of the best brands. Because of taking 4000 mg a day I have been able to quit my advil. I had read fish oil works for imflammation and it does for me.

This fish oil is great my wife and I both like it. The taste is better than most other fish oils because of the orange flavor I can hardly taste any fishiness. The pills are also ultra purified which removes a lot of unwanted ingredients. The IFSO rated the pills highly as well. I wish the pills were a little smaller they can be a little intimidating for some who does not take a lot of pills. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for fish oil, also sign up for subscribe and save and save your self some money at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars big upgrade over GNC, May 14, 2011

This review is from: Barlean's Organic Oils Fresh Catch Fish Oil, Orange Flavor, 250-Softgels / 1000 mg each (Health and Beauty)
I was using GNC fish oil which always made me burp up a terrible fishy taste for hours after ingesting. I found this product on amazon and decided to give a try because of the citrus flavor. All I can say is that the fishy taste is gone and I can continue to use a fish oil suppliments without any disgusting after taste. This brand is also a lot less expensive than the brand that I was previously using as well. TWO THUMBS UP!!

I had tried various fish oil supplements, but then found these. I like them a lot and have been buying them ever since. There's no fish oil taste/smell and they're priced right. I think the quality is good, too. They're an excellent product.

Of the different varieties of fish oil pills this is the one I have stuck with. No fishy aftertaste, no fishy repeating, no repeating at all.

Barlean's Organic Oils - Fish Oil,has a nice, very slight, orange "essence" when taken. Not like candy or anything - just kinda makes it easier for those who may have an aversion to the idea of eating fish oil - I did, but don't anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!!, January 3, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Barlean's Organic Oils Fresh Catch Fish Oil, Orange Flavor, 250-Softgels / 1000 mg each (Health and Beauty)
My whole family loves these. My 2 year old chews the capsules like they're candy (: I give one to him daily and he happily pops it in his mouth and chews it up. He loves it! I have teen daughters also, who take it willingly, knowing the great benefits. I have a 4 year old son who is very picky. He will not chew the capsule but he allows me to squirt it in his milk and drinks that just fine. The citrus smell is great! We've tried several other brands and this is the best! I saw a review from someone who said it's not molecularly distilled, but they were wrong. It is molecularly distilled. I have noticed that my dry eye syndrome is so much better since taking fish oil. And this may be a coincidence but my 2 year old son's speech more than doubled within weeks of taking it! I would recommend this product to everyone!

This is one of the only actual pharmaceutical-grade fish oils I could find and am thoroughly happy with my purchase. I have been taking Barlean's fish oil for half a year now. Absolutely love it and recommend it to everybody.
