I can't eat cane sugar or mollases (from cane sugar), it gives me rashes. HOwever, I can use Barley Malt syrup. I use it in baking mostly instead of Molasses. Works great!

I bought this just to make Chinese barbeque ribs. The recipe called for maltose and this came up. It tastes to me like molasses but is more concentrated. Try this as sugar in your barbecue sauce. At 375 degrees F. it makes a wonderful charred barbecue.
