This is by far the best hiking/canoeing/camping/backpacking hat I've ever owned. It's cool, breezy, and lightweight; it provides ample sun protection; and sheds water without absorbing any. It also remembers its shape somehow, even after being crushed in my pack for days at a time. I abuse it royally, yet it always looks sharp. I'd replace this hat immediately if I lost it or if it ever wore out, but I don't think it's ever going to wear out.
