I never wore hats until now, except for purely functional purposes (e.g. to avoid sunburn). I bought this hat for functional reasons - it rains in Seattle, and I don't want to wrestle with umbrellas unless I have to. However I find myself wearing it in all kinds of weather, just because I like it, and I like how I look in it. I guess I'm a convert.

Great all-around hat - gardening, vacationing, sight-seeing, clearing the snow, whatever. Comfortable and flexible. If you're looking for a hat that can take a beating and still look great, this is your hat.

From the very first time I wore this hat, I fell in love with it. One day, I was outside mowing and a
low branch from a tree knocked off my hat. It was very windy, so I turned around on the mower to
retrieve it, and it was not anywhere to be seen. I thought, oh my God, the wind blew it under the
mower. I shut down the mower, turned off the blades, hopped off and lifted the rubber guard expecting
to see it in shreds. I saw part of the hat and pulled it out. It looked as good as the morning I
put it on to do yard work. What a hat! There was absolutely no damage of any kind to my hat. This
hat deserves a 10 rating instead of a 5. I'm hooked on this hat for life.

I recently purchased this hat because my old one of similar style is felt and not water proof, as this one is. It's a very well made hat and great looking! The distressed leather look goes perfectly with my oil skin rain coat. I also like that you can wad the hat up and it springs back to shape. Less worry about where/how you store it. Very nice and highly recommended.

I bought this hat (1018) from a traveling vendor, I have only owned baseball style hats before this one. I love it so much I don't think I'll wear baseball hats that much any more.

Great hat, well done and nice looking. Fulfills the advertised features; though, not suited for formal dressing. Good size chart.
One piece of advice, the store packed my hat full size unfolded, thus a big resulting parcel traveled from San Diego to Miami. Suffice to say if it's sent offshore (huge air fare cost). They should've used the hat's main feature, it can be folded to make a small bag

This is my second Bramah Roo hat and I have to say they are fantastic. I am a super yacht Captain and have to travel all over the world and mostly to very sunny climes. This hat is a god send. You don't have to worry about how you pack it, being leather it is heavy enough not to blow away and it keeps you very cool.

I enjoyed my irst hat so much that I bought 2 more so I have each color offered. I do a lot of outdoor work and it offers great sun protection. I wish I had thought to get one earlier...........

I wear one of my several 7.5 inch (cotton/poly) boonie hats pretty much all the time. I wanted to try out some leather for once, camo doesn't really match much.. I was worried about the sizing of these hats, since M,L,XL,XXL doesn't tell you much. I searched the actual manufacturer's website, and found the listing of sizes. They recommend you order one size larger than you normally would. I found that the hat I ordered, matched the website's chart perfectly! I ordered an XL (7.5") and it fit great!

We've been having 95+ degree weather here lately, and I know leather doesn't breathe, but, this hat isn't TOO hot to wear out in the heat. The first day I got it, I wore it out to dinner that night and wouldn't you know it.. rain and hail. The hat got tested really quick - within 2 hours of me opening the box it came in. The hat held up perfectly. It is super nice!

The hat folds and "squishes" up any way you like, then pops back to shape instantly. It does NOT have one of those darn metal rim things inside of it. It's just solid kangaroo, with a bit of fabric around the brim.

This hat is SUPER lightweight, and well made. I plan on making this my primary hat now - PS - the Hickorystone looks lighter in the picture, than it really is (on mine).

By far the most comfortable hat that I own. Waterproof, crushable, and very complimentary. Make sure you get the right size though, they are a bit on the smaller size(or maybe my head just got bigger). I received my hat in just 3 days in perfect shape however the box was smashed in on almost every side.
