Excellent study guide! One of the best!,

Sometimes the more direct and straightforward the command God gives us, the more difficulty we have grasping it or living out its application. "Encourage one another" is one of those commandments. And, as often as the case, when we take the time and make the effort to dig, search, analyze and reflect upon the simplicity of God's wisdom and the richness bound up in this Biblical mandate, we will be immensely rewarded! In "The Barnabas Factor", Aubrey Johnson does an awesome job of revealing these spiritual layers of understanding. He conducts a Biblical, in-depth (but easy to understand) investigation of the attitude, anatomy and activity of the encourager. Along the way, he challenges us to think, behave and live like Barnabas. Study this book slowly and apply the principles deliberately. Experiencing God's power to strengthen and revitalize you (and your relationships) will be amazing!

This book is one of the most inspirational studies of Christian relationships I have ever seen.
It is appropriate for individual study as well as for use in a class setting.

My opinion is that EVERYone would benefit from reading this book (if they will come with a willingness to listen and learn)!!! SO many truths for life in every paragraph. Even if you weren't specifically looking to improve in being an 'encourager', this provides fundamental help for happier living. The best I can do at providing a very brief summary, is to say the author points out that having a courageous attitude and confident trust in God will provide the foundation for being better able to encourage others, but these attributes naturally provide a solid platform for meeting daily challenges. He lays out the groundwork for improving in these areas, so -- wouldn't that be of help to everyone? One line "Encouragement is essential wherever there are people" seems like a key point, in addition to how the tools he provides affect lives personally. I highly recommend this book; it has already helped me to work on my focus (something the author is examining) and I'm only one-fourth of the way through it
