Review
Long an admirer of the work of Djuna Barnes, Jackson Mac Low has used five of her works as the source of material to which he applied an experimental approach of entering a group of mixed sentences into the "diastext" program and then edited the output. The result is a wonderful, non-intentional work based on Barnes unique words for an unusual poetic experience on the part of the reader. Barnesbook is a highly recommended and adventurous exploration of the dynamics and excitement of the American language and its meaning. -- Midwest Book Review
