All of Barnett's crossbows are great, this one is superb. It's highly accurate, extremely powerful, and very fast. I have hunting next to people with crossbows that cost way more than this one, but none of them were nearly as good. The Quad 400 is both a great crossbow and an excellent value.

I have used a compound bow for 24 years and decided to try a crossbow. After researching many bows I decided to purchase the Quad 400. The set up was very easy and after sighting in the scope (which is included with the kit) and shooting it many times, I was extremely pleased. It shoots pretty flat and is very fast and accurate. I am hitting a 4 inch group at 70 yards and have not tried any further than that... yet. Definitely the right choice. Barnett has a good product in this one. I am sure there are better crossbows but the quality of the Quad 400 along with the price..in my book, is unbeatable...Money well worth spent!

I am not new to archery but am new to crossbows. I have no prior experience by which to compare this crossbow to any others. I can attest to the fact that it is a very deadly weapon. I am surprised at the penetration and speed of this crossbow. It is extremely accurate as compared to a regular bow. The included triple dot scope is very nice and easy to adjust. Be advised that this crossbow does not come with the crank described and inferred in the product description. You absolutely will need the crank so add another 75 to 100 dollars to the price tag. The bolts are extremely pricey, too. I purchased this as a potential "survival" tool and do not intend it for recreational? hunting but after using it I know that it can probably bring down any animal I am likely to encounter. I have gained a profound respect (bordering on fear) for this ancient weapon enhanced by today's technology.

I purchased two of these products and both were very good bows. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews over the internet about this bow, but I have not had one problem with any of the bows. I do think that people have had problems with limbs breaking and strings because of assembly and not waxing there bow enough. ( I wax mine to death, you can not have to much wax). make sure assembly on the bow is right before shooting and you have waxed the bow real good. Also, if you are pulling the bow back by hand make sure to put a mark where the middle of the string is so that you know if the string is stright or not. If you do not does this then you will be off by a few inches. Assmbley was easy, about 20 minutes if you take your time. As for shooting the bow, I have about a 3 inch circle around 55 yards. I would recommand this bow to anyone getting into bow hunting.

This is a great built product. It amazes me the speed and accuracy this product delivers. Would recommend to anyone who wishes to purchase a crossbow.

I ordered this crossbow for my son who is going to turn 16 in a few weeks.It arrived in great shape from Amazon,and once my son got it for Christmas,he had it assembled in no time.Once we learned to focus the red dot scope,he was hitting arrows so close to one another that I would only let him shoot 2 bolts at a time:bolts can be expensive.He shot at 20yds.,30yds. and 40yds. with consistent accuracy.He fell in love with the bow.He did get to hunt with it while he was with me,but he passed on a doe hoping a buck would come in.He didn't get to shoot at a deer,but he still had fun.This is a great crossbow for the price.I would recommend it to anyone,but make sure you get the rope cocking devise so it will be rather easy to cock.

This crossbow is powerful and penetrated a concrete wall about 5 inches. It is probably an excellent hunting weapon and far more powerful and deadly that I had anticipated. Not at all a toy, nor is it for children. It seems to be an excellent weapon for its intended purpose.

Very happy with this crossbow and the supplier that I purchased it from. It is everything I expected it to be.

My nephew, an avid hunter, loved this item. It was "the best birthday present of all."
He hasn't gotten a deer yet, but he's out there trying!
