I am not an expert in archery by any means, but this bow works very well for its realtively small price. It does take some strenth to pull the bow to the point where the tension releases, but my son got that part under control after some practice.

Like most sets, the arrows are not the greatest. They did not last long. Buy a dozen decent arrows and a cube target on Amazon or from you local big hunting store when they are on sale.

Obviously, this is a dangerous item. You can overshoot a target by 50 feet, so be in the open and under parental control at all times.

Bought this for my daughter, but didn't realize it would be too hard for her to pull back. So Husband is enjoying it. Now I have to get a different one for our daughter. Oh Well. Definately would recommend for a stronger child or yound adult.

Great bow, but the arrows broke within a week taking them out of the target pad. So have lots of spares. But I got the bow for my wife and she loves it. She's a small lady and the pull is perfect for her.

. . and step up. This bow left a lot to be desired. If your beginner archer is big enough for this bow, I would suggest going to the Vortex by Barnett. We did - quickly. It was simply underpowered and under equipped to be anything other than a quickly forgotten toy.

Great bow for the price! Just fine for a little practice in the back yard.

If you want a bow for kids this is not the one. Instead get the, Lil Banshee. I have bought both bows (Lil and Intermediate). Both are made by Barnett, but the Intermediate is just not a good bow for kids or adults. The main problem is that it vibrates way too much when you shoot it. But, it is also too hard to pull back, for kids.

The arrows killed a star, they die way to quick, and they are hard to find if you miss the target in a wooded area. The bow on the otherhand is a perfect starter. It is sturdy, it has decent power, and it looks good. Overall it is a great buy.

16 yr old loves it, had to get more arrows to keep up. Then his 10yr old brother had to get one because he wouldn't share. They enjoy going out back and some times try to see who can shot the furthest

Great bow for young teens who are just starting out. Nice draw and letoff. Strong enough so they don't feel like it's a toy but light enough that they can use it. I will buy this again for my son when he gets older.

I got this bow with a gift card and I ordered the bow on a monday and i got it on wednesday. i like it and it has a fair amount of power and a good draw weight. the only problem is the arrows. the first arrow broke after 2 shots and the second broke 4 later. i recommend getting another set of arrows with the bow. it will work well for hunting if you use broad heads.
