I was a little worried about ease of installing this device. It was very simple, and it works as very well. Thank you for your follow up. Julius Schroeder.

For me, it was not worth the time or money. Installed the unit, used it 5 times and removed it. Hand cocking with the cord works better and quicker. Does not interfere with your shoulder position. Anyone want to buy a used crossbow cranker. PM me.

This cocking device works very well for the sole purpose it was intended for, and that is cocking the string in a effortless manner. DO NOT USE THIS TO: un-cock your crossbow. This device was not intended or manufactured to perform that function!! This device works great when cocking your crossbow in a climbing or lock on tree stand or a blind where space is limited as well as movement. I do not endorse or recommend this action to anyone, but I prefer not to use the screw provided that secures the cocking device to the dove tail bracket that is mounted on the bow because when holding your cross bow level or slightly declined the cocking assembly slides on and hits a stop on the dove tail bracket allowing me to cock my crossbow then take the cocking device off so it is out of the way. It should be attached as the manufacture describes but I find that the cocking device snags my clothing when I draw up my crossbow to aim and shoot. The crossbow is functional with the cocking device mounted securely to the dove tail bracket but you might find yourself having to draw your crossbow up and away from your body before resting it on your shoulder. I believe this is worth mentioning if you are considering buying this product. It does work very well reducing the draw weight around 17lbs and is a must for me if I need that second shot while in a tree stand or constricted blind. If you're a ground hunter you probably wouldn't need this product if you have an adequate blind or cover that would allow you to use the rope cocking device and at the same time conceal your movement. I hope this review was helpful. Happy Hunting!
