Aluminum bends very easily.

Have one cross threaded bolt that was almost driven all the way in, making no room to insert the bow & pressure plate.

The red dot sight shown is an option it seems like everybody gets a different one.

I am very impressed with this crossbow. Having had Hortons, Excaliburs and other high end Barnetts I can say the build quality is right there with the best of 'em. A few things they don't mention - the prod (bow) itself is encased in a rubbery skin to protect and quiet it and the foot stirrup has a beefy over molding of rubber not shown in the pictures. The trigger breaks clean and feels just like the one in my Ghost 400 - without the Anti Dry Fire protection. It's very light overall and actually quite narrow for a recurve - only 2" wider than the Ghost. The red dot sight shown is an option it seems like everybody gets a different one. Mine came with a $9.00 NCStar - so plan on getting a decent sight/scope for yours $30 - $40 bucks should do it for a common 7/8" Weaver style mounted unit. It comes with 4 Barnett arrows but if you get an extra pack of those they'll most likely match. They all come with field points (most other brands don't). The quiver once installed is as solid as the rest of the unit and holds 4 arrows. The sound when shooting is a nice clean thud with no rattles or ringing and it's really quiet for a recurve crossbow - probably around 80Db. This bow is perfectly adequate for hunting anything in North America and honestly I don't know why it doesn't get more attention. I shoot mine every day. You will too.

I love this thing. Ok I'll admit the first thing I did was replace the NcStar red dot with a BARSKA Red Dot. The NcStar red dot is ok and I put it on a older crossbow I let friends use for target practice. I had the Panzer assembled and sighted in within 30 minutes. It's light weight, but has plenty of impact with the 18" aluminum bolts. Turkey season opens in 10 days. That will be the real test, but I think the turkeys are in trouble.

This bow is amazing. I do not understand why people are having so much trouble with it. I bought this for my brother over a year ago for Christmas and he's still using it to this day.

This is the perfect crossbow. Lightweight, accurate, and fun to use. If you are going to be doing a lot of target practice the "low" speed (245fps) and 150lb pull weight make it just right. Remember, once you have sent the bolt downrange you have to pull the !@#$% thing out of the target. This is where aggravation factor can really go up with a more powerful crossbow. I guess if you are hunting moose, bear and deer it might be a different story. I have experience with recurve-bows and this is my first crossbow. I am hooked! Purchase the Barnett cocking device. you will be glad you did.

This is my first real Crossbow. I don't know why they don't sell this as a deer killing machine. It delivers power and accuracy right out of the box. I did however throw out the bolts that came with it, and bought some longer similar weight carbon bolts. When I got the bow the bolts that were in it were in rough shape. The field points were rolling around in the box, and three of the four knocks were loos and falling out of the bolt ends. Trigger was smooth, and crisp. Scope was horrible. I recommend spending 50 dollars or so on a different scope. The one it comes with just doesn't cut it. After putting on the new scope, I couldn't shoot at the same target twice. I would have ruined my bolts. It also has more range then they let on. I have shot at 50 and 40, and while it's not as accurate at 50 it still would take down a deer with well placed shot, and correct broadhead. I recommend the Reaper X-Bow Mechanical Broadhead. Works great and comes with a practice tip. Happy hunting.
