Good size for my granddaughter who had an archery class last summer at church camp. She is 17 and just wanted something to shoot targets with. It's perfect for her size and strength. She is enjoying it. Unfortunately for me - today I found the very same bow at Gander Mountain for $50 less than what I purchased it for on Amazon.com.

i bought this bow for my girlfriend to try and get her into bow hunting, Its perfect for her size and its not to hard for her to pull back, she loves it the only set back to this bow is the sight,quiver, and the rest they are cheap. if you spend a little extra in upgrades such as a peep sight and a d loop this is a great bow for the price.

After replacing the factory rest and sight, some tuning at a pro bow shop, the Vortex shoots great enough to be a hunting bow when set at the max 45-Pounds. I currently have it set at the minimum draw length and weight and my 9yr old is thrilled that he can put all his shots in a 12 inch cicle at 15yards. I also cut some cheap carbon arrows to length to increase the arrow speed. This bow shoots fast a strait for a value price. Other than the parts I upgraded,I highly praise this product. It is right on target!

This bow is the best compound bow for the cost.
Both my boys are using it with amazing accuracy.

I tried to buy one at Dicks but each time I went they sold out.

I found out the Barnett company has been going for over 50 years.
I see why...

item was shipped very quickly. it was better quality than we expected. my grandson loves to shoot his bow with me, and he appreciates that this is a very good quality bow. also, it came with just about everything we needed.

my son loved it, at 45 lbs it's strong for younger kids, i would recommend it to kids older then 12.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson (suggested by his dad). My husband checked it out, and said that he thinks it looks like a really nice first bow. It comes with a lot of extras, so that is very nice also. Looks to be a great product at a reasonable price. I'm sure my grandson will love it!

This bow was purchased for my 14 year old daughter I felt this bow was the perfect match for her to grow into when Amazon had the bow for 95$ it was perfect. It is a great starter bow from childhood to adult. Two experts have looked at it and were impressed for the price. It helped alot to have them help adjust the bow to fit my daughter and suggest ways to help and keep her her interest going. They can suggest the right arrows to purchase since there is a huge difference from the quality of what the bow shipped with.
I've seen suggestions to upgrade the arrow rest and such. In a year or so of shooting it might be a good idea but for now it has everything she needs. I am very impressed and would suggest this bow to anyone.

It is a very adjustable bow for a first timer, my son is getting pretty good with it as well. I can see he will grow with it... The bad, it comes with additional cams but has no information on what to use for different poundage or draw length adjustment... the rest and sights are for entry level and should be upgraded after they get better...
