One of the most creative childrens books ever,
By A Customer
This review is from: Barney Bipple's Magic Dandelions (Picture Puffin) (Paperback)
Creativity shows up in literature of all kinds, but seldom is seen the amount of creativity that Carol Chapman and Steve Kellogg put into this book. Chapman illustrates in the child's mind with her words and ideas, while Kellogg depicts the story gorgeously with his illustrations. It's a rare chemistry with a brilliant product. The story of a young boy with an incredible imagination and a desire for wonderful things gets him into trouble, as vast imaginations sometimes do. He uses that same imagination to get out of trouble, and ultimately learns a beautful, age-old lesson, "Be careful what you wish for." At 17 years old, this is my favorite book, and one I will read to my kids.

Beautiful,
This review is from: Barney Bipple's Magic Dandelions (Picture Puffin) (Paperback)
A lovely little story, but the true magic of this book lies in the whimsical, fantastic illustrations. I can't recommend this beautiful book enough, for both kids and adults. The pictures are phenomenally gorgeous, and the whole book carries a feeling of nostalgic golden warmth.
