This isn't too bad of a toy overall. It teaches coordination and has the kids pick out different shapes, dinosaurs, etc., but it really isn't all that durable. Plus, if you forget and leave it on and the cat walks across it in the middle of the night, well, it's about enough to make you change your underwear! All you hear from a dead sleep is "Let's Dance!" Very loudly too, I might add. It is a bunch of fun for little ones but our barney won't stay on, nor will he stay inflated. Never has. We just take him off and use it like that. It is funny though to see an animal's reaction when they step on it - this thing is not quiet at all and it scares a cat half to bits. I'd buy another dance mat besides this one. Maybe try the Wiggles' one. It's a great idea but Barney just doesn't work on this toy. It reminds me of Twister, but for little ones.

I bought this toy for my daughters 2nd Birthday. She loves Barney and loves to dance, so I thought this would be perfect. The Barney doll constantly falls off and won't stay on. All this toy did was frustrate my daughter. I'm talking it back and getting something she can enjoy playing with.

I bought this toy for my son's 2nd birthday present. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. The doll first of all took forever to blow up (it has to be done manually) and then the air would not stay in the doll. On top of that, I can't even exchange it because no one has them in stock. The whole experience has just been aweful for my son.

Our 3 yo daughter loves to dance on this mat with Barney. Highly recommended toy for a Barney fanatic!

My son is 23 mos old and really shows no interest in this toy. He will stand on it for about 1 minute - if that. And Barney is always falling over. If I had to purchase this product again - I definately would not!

I bought this toy for my 22month old daughter for christmas. She loves dancing and I thought it would be the perfect gift. I was a little disapointed in her enthauaism for the produt, but that is purly an individual response. I have not had the problem with Barney falling over. We blew him up manually and then used a hand pump to fill completly, he hasen't fallen since.
Invest in the hand pump, like the ones you find in a kit for an exercise ball.

Our child is a very active child. Likes to dance to music and loves Barney - so we thought this would be a perfect gift. Boy, were we wrong!

The Barney doll continually falls off of the base that it stands on; the base, once put on, cannot be taken off. The instructions even caution the purchaser to make sure they get it right the first time!

Overall, the toy is not very educational. Aside from the toy asking our child to find a different colored foot print, or one of Barney's pals on the mat, there is not much more the toy will teach.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son for Christmas. At first I didn't want to buy it because a lot of the reviews said that the Barney fell over and wouldn't stay on his little stand. I figured my son loves Barney so worst comes to worse he would hold barney and dance. It worked just fine. I blew him up and at first he looked a little limp but I just opened him up and really blew him up and capped the plug as fast as I could. That worked like a charm. Every day or two I have to blow hime up again. Not a big deal. The reward of seeing my son dancing and smiling is worth it.

This toy is defintly not worth the money. You will spend more time blowing it up than your kids will enjoy playing with it. Even when it fully blown up it still falls over. It was not at all what I expected it to be esp for the price.

My two toddler age children have really enjoyed this toy. It is fun to dance to and gets them moving around. It will also ask the kids questions such as, "Can you find the yellow star?" and will prompt them to keep playing with it, or will turn off on its own. The batteries seem to last a long time as well. We have had it for about a year and a half and they still play with it. The Barney is a blow-up figurine which occasionally will need to be re-blown. We also have the Wiggles dance mat but they do not like it as much. The Wiggles songs are not as clear sounding and do not flow into each other as well as the Barney mat.
