If I had bought this for a toddler, I probably would have given it more stars. I saw the reading level of 4 - 8 years and assumed that this had a bit more of a story to it. It is simply 12 pages that include: 1 gold bell, 2 skating friends, 3 Christmas stockings, 4 smiling angels, 5 sparkling stars, 6 strings of popcorn, 7 candy canes, 8 frosty snowflakes, 9 flying reindeer, 10 shiny presents, 11 gingerbread cookies, 12 twinkling lights. The pictures are cute, but (as mentioned by another reviewer) they are small and it can be hard to count specific items. This is a 4" x 4" book, so it might make a good stocking stuffer for Barney fans. The price on the back of the book is $3.99 (see the look inside back cover view) so if you get it with supersaver shipping it is as cheap as buying it at the store. I think there are better Barney books out there, especially if your child is over 2, but this is a cute seasonal book for toddlers.

My son loves Barney who is 2 years old, my daughter has loved Barney as well and still does, not as much as she use to. The book counts up to 12 instead of 10 which is nice. The book is really small which is nice for travel or waiting at the Dr.'s office, it fits in a diaper bag or purse without taking up so much room. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because some of the pictures are small to count and kids really need large objects to count. But my son loves it-it's a great Traveling Book!!!

The book was in excellent condition. I was a little surprised at the size of the book (smaller than expected).
