this is a huge book with minimal text and page after page of pictures, many from hard to find artists, and many full page. the reproductions are of average quality I would say, but for the price this is an excellent book.

A wonderful book, great pictures and text. However, the reason for the relatively low price may have something to do to the fact that there is no chapter of contents at the front, and no index at the back! If you want to find a particular artist or painting, you have to flip through the book. Otherwise, the book should get 5 stars.
