I'm not that impressed with these. The tubing-around-the-middle-finger system, typical of the cheap square paddles you generally see at public pools, doesn't produce the most stable grip on the paddle, and the long strap at the wrist doesn't seem to do anything to secure the paddle against your hand, either. Moreover, the surface of the paddle is kind of slippery -- your fingertips don't really "stick" to it. The net result is that your hand slides around a little on top of them instead of being snug, as the design of the paddle might suggest. While the middle-finger loop seems to stay tight, who knows how long it'll stay that way, given what chlorine seems to do to most synthetic materials. These are an improvement over aforementioned cheap square paddles, but not a major one. It's probably worth spending a little more money for something a little more sophisticated if you anticipate using them a lot.
