Barrie Jones, a lifetime MG enthusiast and qualified engineer has written a book from his experience and knowledge gained from owning and maintaining some 18 MGBs.
Packed with detail and with an index that runs to three pages, the book covers all the major aspects of MGB maintenance, in addition to looking at various model differences.
Practical tips include how to strip and rebuild a gearbox as well as covering rebuild- ing the body, including the fenders, rockers and rear quarter panels
Don Hayter, chief designer of the MGB, has given his seal of approval to the book, which while author Jones says may not turn the amateur into a professional, but it will give the reader an appreciation of what needs to be done with many jobs being within their scope.
One caveat for potential US purchasers - all the information con- tained in this book is based on UK home market MGBs and some model differences need to be taken note of; however, there are some real nuggets of information on MGBs, which you may not have seen before. Review by Ken Smith of the Classic MG Magazine.
