I don't recommend using this study guide for the PCAT.
    Rachel
Also, the practice tests in this book are on paper, which I prefer, but which isn't that helpful for the actual exam, which is always given on a computer.
    Katie
Plus, you do need trigonometric functions in the exam for quantitative, a point not addressed in this book.

This review book is seriously lacking, in many areas. The information may be current, but I felt everything was over-simplified and poorly explained. Plus, you do need trigonometric functions in the exam for quantitative, a point not addressed in this book. Also know that this book is just problem sets with a briefly summarized answer explanation. Would not recommend this book.

I found this book helpful in preparing for the PCAT. It has several practice questions and exams. I expected it to provided a summary of the major concepts covered in the PCAT, but it does not. The book is mostly just questions with answers. If you are not familiar with a certain subject matter on the PCAT, you will need a textbook covering that material in addition to this book.

If you are looking for concept review, or even the barest bones review of any topics on the PCAT, this book is NOT for you. Barron's idea of PCAT concept review is a reprinting of the topic outline that you can access for free on the PCAT website. Very disappointed since I loved Barron's for AP tests, but I'd have to recommend Kaplan or Princeton Review for PCAT prep.

Also, the practice tests in this book are on paper, which I prefer, but which isn't that helpful for the actual exam, which is always given on a computer.
